Likely same reason the media button which gets used a bunch is buried under a drop down while the ability to change font sizes is an icon in the editor. The admins set up the forum software and kept the defaults.

...It actually converts most media URLs automatically almost to the point of being annoying.

Yeah, that's what I tried when the spreadsheet embed was crashing the forum. Unfortunately, it tried to convert that to media as well and I have to type it in code.

But usually I just paste the url and it handles the code for me, No buttons required.

Most of the aftermarket accessories are based on a 12 volt system. Nobody is going to make a 48 volt aftermarket accessories because there is no demand for it.
