I got this for my ‘23 X last night. It’s installing it as I text this. Give it time, I’m sure you will get it as well.

Still haven't gotten the email for it, but I noticed it says to be eligible you have to have FSD v14.2, kind of contradictory for a free trial of FSD no?

When I bought my CT back in March, it came with 30-days of FSD. Then within a month, they gave me complimentary 12-months of FSD. I think that was about the time Tesla was looking for more FSD-users to gather data, or so I was told.

No complaints, very happy to have it. Since Monday, when I got FSDv14.2, I'm over 200mi driven with 100% usage. I've only driven in my driveway to park where I like.

Tesla is Just telling you that the 14.2 version has to be downloaded in order for you to be able to use the FSD trial. The download is free. My understanding is FSD software is installed with every update for vehicles that can use it, but it has to be unlocked with a purchase or subscription. Tesla wants you to try out version 14.2 In the hope’s you’ll love it {and you will). Many who try it out will at probably subscribe.

I was fortunate to buy FSD for $6k when I purchased my first Tesla, a 2019 Model 3. I traded it in on a 2023 Model Y and was able to transfer the FSD. A year ago I purchased a 2024 AWD Cybertruck and transferred FSD from the Model Y to the Cybertruck.

The price of FSD has risen all the way to $15k but dropped down to its current level of $8k. You can subscribe to FSD for $99 a month. After driving thousands of miles using FSD, i wouldn’t be without it.

Try it, you’ll be blown away at what it can do.

I already have FSD on the CT, I just want to try it on the Y and compare. People say FSD is way better on the Y and 3, I've driven a 3 with FSD but never a Y.

100%not sure how you have only driven0.2 miles without scraping all your fenders off in a garage or parking lot. Do you perhaps live in the middle of nowhere?

Thought my FSD usage was high at 89% and thats with me trying to use it as much as possible but some areas are guaranteed bumper destroyers.

I just added the trial on my Y and like you I am interested in the difference. Version 14.2 on my CT is still making dumb mistakes.

Sorry, still not worth $8,000, since not allowed to transfer to a new car thus need to buy again every few years, makes no sense to me other than greed. imagine having to re-purchase all your apps every time you upgrade your phone, wow.

Wow. A giant stick-in-the-eye to early adopters who paid for FSD on HW3 vehicles.
