Has anyone know if a trailer 5th wheel mounting hitch could be successfully installed in bed of CT? Could CT accommodate pulling a 5th Wheel trailer? i Would be surprised Tesla did not consider this need in the design of a “ work truck”.

I contacted heavyDsparks(YouTuber) who has done some extensive modifications on the CT. He said it would take a lot of R&D and custom fabrication to get a 5th wheel to work…..like $100k worth of custom.

There's a difference in 'work trucks'. Some are 'regular' sized, some are 'oversized'. Most 5th wheels use the latter... Usually with 'duals' in the back to handle the extra weight on the mount...

Are you planning on putting dual wheels in the rear?

Also, are you saying that the F-150, RAM 1500, Silverado 1500 and about a dozen others are NOT work trucks? Most of those are NOT designed for hauling 5th wheel trailers either, they are Class 1-2... 5th wheels really need a class 3 or higher don't they? Unless your 5th wheel is less than 10,000 lbs?? Most I have looked at are around 13-15K... Can't imagine why you would make a 5th wheel if it's not that heavy... I mean a trailer without a load, sure... but why when it's much cheaper to build/buy a trailer with a regular hitch?
