Is anyone making (or willing to make) a silicone cover for the CT rear view mirror? Would be similar to a cell phone case and would cover the mirror.

Backstory:
I’ve had my CT for only a couple weeks and am getting used to not having a typical rear view mirror. The camera and screen work fine when I use them, but my first instinct is to look at the hanging rear view mirror. Not a big deal during the day as I quickly realize that it doesn’t provide a view. However, at night, the mirror picks up various light reflections and my brain hesitates, wondering what I am seeing, before moving on to the screen.

I have seen some delete the rear view mirror; however, I want to keep it for use when I am hauling things and the back cover is down.

For now, I have just used wide black tape with thin cardboard cut out to match the mirror so no tape is actually on the glass. This works OK but I am looking for a better solution.

Maybe I just need to wait while I re-learn how to see behind me.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Yea, I noticed the same thing at night; cause of how light reflects off the rear glass, the rear view mirror duplicates what I see in front of the truck. Can be weird sometimes. Had the truck a bit longer and can say it gets more instinctive to look at the screen and not at the rear view mirror.

Maybe not out of silicone, but a slip on cover should be pretty easy to design and 3D print. Could print it out of TPU if you want that softer feel (as opposed to PLA). Probably less likely to rattle too.
