Biggest noteworthy thing for me that is somewhat young is inverter whine, on Rivian I can hear it on most if not all videos, dead silent here

The first video is a bigger tease than the April 1st crash-test video

Sounds like the traction control system is not or can not lock up the rear axle
Sounds like basic tires trying to do off road stuff. Grabbing that dry dusty concrete, not easy.

At full height it looks quite stiff, like a javalina bouncing around on it's legs...no wheel drop left, so it does a lot of 2 or 3 wheel teetering. Anything road worthy cannot be very off-road worthy. Off-road requires long travel, soft suspension, low tire pressure and lockers. None of those are compatible with pavement.

Its easy when the wheels are locked together.
Ive got a video climbing that specific hill somewhere. In the meantime theres likely hundreds of others on youtube. My axles are not locked for this. Concrete is super grippy dusty or not.

Right, but remember the class we are in here. Mechanicals lockers not that common. And do you really need lockers, of the only bad result is a little tire noise?

Nice. Now we’re talking! So all of that clanking and banging around was on that orange Jeep?
I was asking myself, WTH that noise was......

Wow, that was not much more than a tease. I couldn't understand WHY they were going so slow. UNTIL, I saw the hill in the photo Bill posted. OMG, people don't know how to shoot video! :ROFLMAO:

Then you guys posted GOOD videos showing the actual obstacle!!!

Thanks!

Rear lockers are exceedingly common on half ton trucks even 2wd ones. One wet boat ramp is enough to warrant having them.

I’m not being a hater but that obstacle is a test of approach angles and a little bit on the break over side. Its not insignificant that it make it but any vehicle with sufficient clearance and a locked or good limited slip differential makes it calmly.
