I've had my truck for about 2 weeks now and love it. My air suspension works as suspected from a lift and lowering perspective.

I've noticed that the compressor makes a noise for a few minutes maybe 5 at the beginning of certain rides. After the noise ends I hear an air relief sound.

Is this normal? When I had my model x the air suspension components were failing if I heard the compressor constantly.

My rear suspension adjusts frequently. I to think something is wrong. Sitting at a stop light and here the pop of the relief valve opening and forceful bounce/bump from lowering. First couple of times I thought someone ran into the back of the truck. Now know what it is but still aggravating. Hope this can be fixed with an OTA

I was wondering the same thing. I've noticed mine do this as well. Typically the first trip of the day. I also only seem to notice this when waiting at a light. I also experience the sudden stop of the compressor, release of air pressure and a noticeable change in ride height (lowering). I just am not 100% sure where the sound is coming from (which tire).

Curious if any of the contributors to this thread (or new folks reading it for the first time) ever identified what causes the random suspension relief "poof" sound and noticeable bump/bounce in the truck when it happens?

I've only had my CT for a week now and have noticed it twice, both while sitting idle (but in Drive). The first time I was in a drive-thru and at first thought the car behind me hit me, as there is definitely a noticeable bounce/bump that occurs.

I also noticed the same thing. I got mine in July. I'm also hoping they can fix it on the next SW release

Chiming in to report I am experiencing the same thing. At least I'm not the only one.

I have the exactly same issue, but after recently SW update (around a month ago?), the noise mostly happens when it close to a full stop at light or right after start accelerate. I also hear a couple times during the normal driving as well.

Just wondering if you are seeing the same behavior recently and did you get any answer why this is happening? I have a service appointment next week so I will definitely ask.

Honestly haven’t noticed it happening much while sitting at a stop, but I am noticing it occurring just after I start to accelerate away from a stop. It’s much less surprising when it happens while you’re in motion vs when it happens sitting at a stoplight or in a drive-thru.

Please update here if/when you learn anything from the SC.

Same as all posters above. I get a shock while sitting at the lights thinking I've been rear ended o_O

I haven't gotten to a service center about this yet.
I'm curious if the noise is expected. The sound of the compressor running

when I had a model x the compressor or air suspensions sound was near silent. My assumption is the compressor tank on this truck is much larger than the x and the noise is supposed to be normal?

My driveway is a slight incline so the truck sits on that incline every night, I wonder if that has an impact on the suspension/compressor for my first drives of the day.

It is normal.

The pop or level that occurs when stopped at a light is also intended according to my SC.

I noticed the air pop sound more frequently after the auto park update. It’s loud as shit with the window down in a drive thru corridor. I think it’s normal though.
