I like that people are thinking about it.

Not sure materials can do that, tho.

Much like the Cybelandr it does seem to be an engineering nightmare. In any event, I'm encouraged by competition in the bed-mounted segment as I plan to camp in mine but like many people, I'm concerned that towing a trailer will certainly slaughter range.

Oh boy, that is one very long hitch extension. So much for a good departure angle. I imagine there will be certain small-town intersections that will need to be navigated very carefully. But I really like being able to set up camp and then drive off. That seems really convenient.

I like the innovation, but I think the camper cannot exceed the price of the base vehicle. In my option, if someone can do something like this or the other company (CyberLndr) and keep the price at or below $39k, they will have a winner on their hands. The Tesla Camping option should come in at $10,000 and it would sell really well.

I love seeing all of these severely overengeineered and high part count things designed to be mounted on something that's so minimalist and spartan.

I have been refining my ROCC(roll over cab camper/Patent Pending) concept. By adding drive motors and a remote I think I can get the full deployment time down to 5 minutes and it can be done with one person. This would have up to 800 watts of solar available all the time. I was also pessimistic on the weight. I think I can get it down to 500 to 700 lbs depending on options. (200 of which is removable). I have also eliminated several loose parts and penetrations. Too many pros to mention over all the concepts I have seen to date.

If anybody is interested in partnering please message me.

That looks so cool, seems like we have something to look forward to in the future. I will probably replace those wheels since they are kind of outdated. I am sure that I can find options in shops like 4wheelonline.
