I actually think it’s a shame as competition is healthy for the consumer, albeit spec claims were dubious.

It would be trivial for Tesla to make a 600 mile range car - one that would fair as poorly in the market place as evidently Dyson has calculated his would.

But I do hope one or more of the more viable competitors such as Rivian, Fisker, Lucid do succeed.

There are too many startups already. Few of them (if any) are going to survive. We need healthy competition from the legacy automakers.

How many of them (if any) will survive? Of course I hope some will - the ones that make cars as good as the ones being made by the startups.
