Looks like radio silence for the most part on deliveries. I had a 12/28 invite, and i immediately pulled the trigger. My order has been sitting ready for delivery date and nothing since.... any movement from anyone?

I see them but in other places not everyone that is getting a CT is in the forum. I think I saw one recently in reddit. And also on social media.

Still CA, TX, and few in FL. If you aren't in those states you can watch your lawn like I'm doing. I expect deliveries to scale in unison with the volume of states that ordered them (sampled by this forum's confirmed orders).

From what I’ve witnessed for the past two weeks we are still on deliveries for 12/8 and 12/9 at latest. I haven’t seen any 12/10 deliveries as of yet. Still, though, far from “radio silence”. There are deliveries almost every day or two for orders on 12/8 and 12/9. Just a very slow ramp.

There's one that's driving around Buffalo, NY today, it was on a bunch of social media posts. Crazy that the whole city is talking about a new vehicle.

P.S. - Don't read the Reddit post on it, if you don't want to get upset. Only one person said something nice about the CT, and they were down voted. Hopefully everyone is wrong about the salt!

Damn it. I should have listened to you. Every single response was worse than the next on that Reddit thread. It’s like they didn’t ever see a stainless steel anything in their lives.

Reddit is so full of trolls in most of the groups it sucks… Salt never ruins stainless steel things like pots, pans, knives… why would it ruin this? stainless steel is non-reactive and is ok with things like salt or acidic compounds. Unless you are heating it over 200 degrees or something.

Now I'm a bit worried about an angry mob of people when I get mine. There are some vehicles I don't care for, but I wouldn't ever attack a person for liking what they like. Unfortunately most people have closed minds and live in a very small world, when what makes life exciting is variety.

I feel the same general way as you do about the cybertruck--that it will largely be just fine--but as a response to your comment, salt causes pitting in stainless steel pots all the time. and if you read up on it it seems pitting occurs more at lower temperatures, not higher temperatures (go figure...)

I boil pasta in salted water and have used the same stainless steel pot for decades. No rust or pitting, it still looks new. Tesla's vehicle design engineer said they boosted the chromium content in the SS alloy used for the Cybertruck to boost it's natural corrosion resistance.

That thread displays a lot of ignorance.

I stopped by the Eden Prairie, MN store today that has one on display that they got last week. She said no deliveries yet in MN, but they are expected to start in March. A few local reservations have gone through the configuration request stage according to her.
Images I took this morning are attached. And they wouldn't let me get in it or walk around it :/

I ordered my CT on 12/8/23 and I just received my VIN yesterday. I understand that this means the truck is near or in production. I am now waiting for Tesla to confirm my delivery date.
