Has anyone had any problems with vandalism with the truck parked on their own property? Like driveways, or out infront of your house on the street? I have a driveway, but no garage. I live in Seattle, so things can get alittle… weird sometimes. Been back and forth on whether or not to pull the trigger on the truck, and given where I live it’s a hard call to make. I don’t want to wake up to a fireball in the driveway. Hoping everyone forgets about events in a few months.

I get attacked all the time.......by kids wanting to get in and adults wanting to see it up close.

You can't not enjoy your money out of fear. Put up cameras if you feel safer and leave sentry mode on. Enjoy the fruits of your hard work and don't let others run your life. If you have to, then move to a better place.

I agree, do it!! Like drevdrone6 said you could put up some extra cameras. Some good options out there with solar charging and motion lights on the cameras. Make sure you have Sentry Mode on all the time as well. You will love the truck.

The downside of parking it at home and NOT in a garage is the sentry battery drain, which is a very real thing.
The vampire drain of the CT is high to begin with, and with sentry mode on it is going to be eating a good bit of power, not a big deal for a few hours at work etc, but parked for 12+ hours a day at your house that sentry mode, which is 100% required in today's environment is going to be chewing through some battery power.
Something to consider.

One of the tenants at my office is a hairdresser. She is a friend of mine and gives me crap about my truck constantly. One of her customers' 11 year old son tried to spit on my truck, wind blew it back on his mom, then my friend gave him hell about it.

Ive gotten a few one finger salutes here in the Midwest, that is about it. But I am mindful of where I park it for events that have a know able end time like plays or movies. Plus my wife goes with me to those things, she prefers the MS.

Maybe I'm missing something really obvious but if it's at home in the driveway, I'm assuming it can be plugged in while in the driveway. If this is true then leaving Sentry Mode on all the time at home wouldn't be an issue, right? I think in a few months (hopefully sooner) things will calm down a bit and the vandalism thing won't be a concern.

Last weekend I parked in Pebble Beach golf links lot. After returning in 6 hours. I had 7 sentry notices. Normally I don't bother to look. This time I looked and found 7 different people who were posing to get their picture next to my stainless steel badass beast truck.

Mine lives outside, in the driveway, and the charger is outside. I just leave it plugged in and drain is not a problem. I guess with the the minimal drain it will eventually add up, but it's still pennies for cost and the cheapest security method on the market.
If you have the setup to plug it in at home in the driveway, recommend you do so when it is at home.

Yea if you can plug in at home the battery will not go down, you will still be using a good chunk of power for the cameras with it on Sentry mode and always awake, but if you can plug it in at home the battery will not go down overnight etc.

She can be plugged in! So the drain won’t be an issue. I believe it should calm down but the truck will always have that scar sadly. People need to be held accountable for their actions.

I am in IL, and vandalism has not been an issue. I had an incident with someone adding a political sticker to my tailgate while I was grocery shopping, but it was easily removable.

Personal interactions remain largely positive, with people asking about and complimenting the truck in parking lots, but I've seen a few middle fingers while driving. I just smile and carry on.

If there's anything that should be reassuring, it's how hard it has been for vandals to actually do damage to the CT. Plenty of other Tesla models getting key'd or whatever, but unless you have a wrap; it seems most attempts can either be wiped or buffed out. The widespread vandalism videos have actually done a good job of highlighting the CT's strengths.
