Wheel covers: I’ve done my share of complaining about the absence of the missing OEM wheel covers.

I about lost it when we all saw new wheel covers being sent out with new orders but not being sent to the foundation series owners who did not receive them at the time of pick up.

Well, I stopped my complaining and joking on this forum & simply made a service appointment at the New Orleans service center. Thru the app, I asked if I could have my (free) wheel covers.

Tesla immediate response - denied.
a day later, they said I could keep the appointment and the supply was under review.

Tonight I got my email stating I will finally get my covers. I’ve been to this service center. Good people. They delivered on the last service. Let’s hope they can deliver on this next appointment.

I got that email too today. I really don't want to do a 3 hour round trip to the service center at all? Why can't they ship these to some of us - not our fault they messed up.

It’s a two hour , one way trip for me to the SC. But i will do this to get my covers. Really just for principle. I actually love the colored caliper options and so many wheel options would make my CT look even better. But now, it’s just the idea of getting what I paid for even though I may never use them.

Got my pick up email today as well. Located in Dallas/Ft. Worth. I really think it's a geographical roll out... west coast to east coast.

I had a svc appointment a few days ago and I added a svc item about the wheel covers but no luck.

They said once I get the email they will have mobile service drop them off at my house.

Neither of things should be true if they are installed correctly and assuming the vehicle tire pressure is not absurdly low.

I scheduled an appointed to address my noisy tonneau cover and adhesive strip that used to hold something that is now missing…. Since my Service Center is 100 miles away, and I’ve been hearing about select owners receiving wheel covers, I requested that they be added on the same trip. My reply from them was, “We are supplying wheel covers as they become available."
Two days later I got the email,
"Your vehicle has been selected to receive the Cybertruck Wheel Covers. Your Cybertruck Wheel Covers will be available for pick-up at your upcoming service appointment."
Ask and ye shall receive….maybe!

Picked up my FS AWD with VIN 28XX in San Diego early March. Got the email I was selected to receive my wheel covers. Made an appt with local SC to install them, plus complete wiper motor recall. All done and the covers look great. I liked the look of the wheels, but something really satisfying about finally having the covers and all the recalls done. And the FSD is a game changer.
