The vast majority of trucks don't have it.

And the guys who take what the truck has off and slams it into a fence kinda deserve what they got.

Guess I didn't think the Cybertruck was like the vast majority of pickum up trucks.

Were those protections on the trucks they did the baja runs or other off road testing? I don't know so wonder if anyone here knows. I don't think I will ever need that level of off road protection. I suspect my level will be some side trails off the FS roads but not really into the whole rock crawl stuff.

No.

They did have special seats and safety harnesses and an internal extra roll cage for liability - but that would've only engaged if the truck's normal protections failed.

No, they were stock exterior. Interior was a little different. Mostly stripped down, almost no trim, and iirc they had harnesses.

Edit: @Crissa already answered this 😂 but I'll leave it anyway

How much would you expect battery armor and rock sliders to weight, and cost?

And how many Cybertrucks will ever need them?

Let's take the number needing them, the decrease in range, the increase in cost and see what the impact would be.

Didn't you already complain about a vehicle that cost too much and got too little range?
And you now want to make it worse with an option that will probably be used by less than 1% of the owners?

FYI, melnuck is a Rivian Troll on twitter X
Yeah some here are acting like it lately. Part horse or deer or something. Blonde hair with hooves.

I didn't watch the video. Sorry don't care for most.

@Woodrick
For someone that has offered to buy a used one, and is ordering a second post foundation for a farm truck. I don't recall complaining about price. I think you might be confused, but that tends to happen often to you. You are old right? I have complained about the quality of the plastics, and cover, other minor things. Love the views of Mr. Musk. Couldn't be happier lately with Tesla. It does go from positive to negative every now and then. Most of anything I don't like about the truck other Tesla owners with small cars. They act like one is a pariah.

If you have seen my posts $ isn't really a concern.

Nice Edit @Woodrick
