Every time is get the truck serviced they break something else or fail to fix the issue the first time.
This time the service attempt was to fix the T-cover that they broke when working on the truck bed to get the vault divider to fit ( They never got it to fit).
They also did not re-install my d-clips that were there before on the bed cover.

So the T-Cover to my great Joy appears to finally be fixed --both the water channel gap and the operation.
D-Clips put back as well.

But now after some closer inspection I can see through the sides of the bed cover into the compressor area -- they did not replace the seals or damaged them in the process.

Now I just want a sanity check -- there should be seals all along the bed covers correct ?

Tesla Replied that there should not be this gap and they should be sealed.
They are going to fix this .

My message to everyone is to check you repairs carefully ... look for other things that do not necessarily have to do with the exact repair . I love my Truck but struggle with the service side of things.

Mine looks just like yours. Same gap and have never been seals/sealed since new. 9k vin. Early summer, I remember a similar post and many also agreed that they can see below the rear 2/3 of the bed floor panel.

Ugg ... Found more issues either related to this last service cycle or a previous one . See the broken plastic on both sides ...

Then a new one ... The charge port opens when I walk up to the truck .

Time for my Friday Margarita !

Which Bay Area service center did you go to?

I wish they would focus on the quality of their service. Slow and sloppy best describes my experience.

Ugh, sorry to hear you’re experiencing this. In the Boston area, I’ve been to 3 service centers (well, the 3rd one will be in early Feb), and I’ve noticed the OG service center is really good and I’ve heard the second oldest one is also really good (which is where my next appt is).

Really wished Tesla got their SCs to provide the same high quality repairs across all of them.

My bed cover above the compressor has no seals whatsoever and I think it's by design to allow bed water drainage.

I’d recommend making appointments at Houston Place in Dublin. They primarily focus on CT service work Since their Amador Plaza couldn’t keep up with it.

Hmm That is why I asked Tesla ….But strange to let water near the battery area below the bed. You could be correct though … I just do not recall seeing a big gap there before. Service is scheduled so I will find out I guess . Would be good to know if anyone has theirs sealed or if they are all this way like you mentioned. Thanks for the feedback.

With regards to the seals — Previous replies are correct — no seals .. I guess I just did not notice it before.

Tesla replaced the side panels and tub to fix the broken tabs that are part of the side panels .

The T-Cover works but is much more jerky now. At least it works so I will have to live with the Jerky motion now.

Looking forward to some spring trips soon !
