The arm holding the mirror is way too weak.
I still have the version one mirror and will see if its metal arm works.

Wow, if I remember correctly Hansshow had a similar problem with their first digital mirror and they had to send out metal arms to replace the plastic ones. seems they didn't learn their lesson. Glad I didn't do the install, but your install looks really good. I ran the wires in my gear tunnel overhead console the same way when I installed the CT Mods mirror.

Here is what I did. Not my best work but it's working. The mirror is not as stable as I'd like. There is a small shake sometimes when driving. It's not like I'm always looking at the mirror so it's fine.

With the wolfbox on the front like that did you have any issues with FSD attention detection?
Just dry fit my unit on the mirror in a similar way and decided to check the camera before wiring everything, pretty sure this is going to be blocking to much of the camera?
How does your sentry camera look and any issues with attention monitoring?

Two cords on the far right and left, and obviously the top of the Wolfbox in the bottom half of the image frame.

I had worried about that so I used a 90 degree USB adapter to keep the cords as low as possible. All the connections are on the top. No issues with FSD so far. This is the adapter I used.

I also don't like the exposed cables so I purchased wire loom to make it look better but have yet to install.

Yea at first my worry was the cable, but I have some 90 degree adapters that should get them out of the way, I was surprised to see how much of the mirror unit itself was in frame. Does your sentry mode camera look like that, with that much of the mirror taking up maybe 20% of the bottom of the frame?

Maybe FLD won't freak out if I reach for my water or touch my cellphone since it will be blocked:)

I'll be reviewing the new wolfbox g900 tripro camera mirror soon.

I'll be sure to test it out in the socal desert heat when it arrives. Doing an overland adventure in June with it and will let you know.

Maybe the wolfbox will turn out to be better and/or a better company to work with.
I like them! A lot!

Wow ok, cool, same thing.
No issues with attention monitoring etc, very cool.

I assume you were not able to hide the wires behind the piece of trim that has the manual gear selectors? Was hoping to sneak the wires inside of that but don't think there is room to jam them into that seam (yellow)

Going to pull the factory mirror off and see if I can figure out a way to mount the wolfbox mirror to it.

There could be a way but the fit is tight on the trim pieces. To get the power I tapped into two wires behind the lower area and stuffed a 12V/24V to 5V Converter in there. I notched an area up high to route the wire. This allows the trim to lay flat. I'll get a pic tomorrow.

Do you have a wolfbox in your cybertruck? How did you attach the mirror?
No I’m sorry I didn’t mean to mislead you. I don’t have any rearview mirror I bought the one from hansshow and then decided I was not going to install it because I just don’t need it.

From Wolf box I have their little mini blower. Technically I have two, I bought one and they subsequently sent me one to review which I have to get up at some point. The quality on the blower is amazing and I had discovered it a while back.

I also wanted to try their tire inflator out of curiosity, but they opted to send me their mirror. Either way, excited to install it and share it with everyone. They said they'd ship it around now, so who knows when I'll get it. It's a review unit, so I'm not gonna push them ?

I've just installed Hansshow 2.0.
Here are my impressions:

Positive:
Clear picture
Large screen
Coax cable for clearer image
Exposure value can be adjusted
Good range horizontally
Not much distortion for such a wide angle camera.
Good integration into system wiring overall, but see below.
Nice housing for rear camera, but see below.

Negative:
Install is very tricky. Took me 6 hours to figure out how to run this without showing cables. Found a way to get the cables to pass through the gear selector bridge piece by taking the side covers off and tucking the cables into the space/grove available on each side. I'll upload pics soon. This process makes the reinstall very hard however.

No space for the front camera cable to pass out from the cover. Had to notch the beauty cover of the GPS/camera housing.

Front camera is quite redundant.

Mirror is very unstable once mounted. The flimsy plastic arm that holds the mirror has a rediculous amount of flex. Needs to be metal. This is my biggest gripe so far.

The rear camera was neither mounted square nor level in its triangular housing. The image is several degree off and had to mount the housing crooked on the truck to get a straight view out the back

One of the tweeters on the right seems to be off after install. Need to do more testing but it sounds 'off'. I hope I can fix this...thanks for some of the previous posts here.

White balance of the display is way off. It's quite blue.

Overall a great improvement but that plastic arm is a joke.
Makes the whole thing look like a $50.00 part. Not sure what the designers/engineers where thinking here. I have to 1.0 mirror...maybe its metal bracket will work but I'm not looking forward to taking this back apart.

I hope a Firmware Update will fix the white balance and enable some way to take off the time display.

I hope this helps someone. Overall a good mirror and looks quite 'OEM' with its square design.

Peter
I just installed the Hansshow 2.0 rearview mirror, and I have to say, its a major disappointment vs. the first version. Like you said, the arm is about the cheapest, thinnest plastic you could use. The mirror bounces up and down if you go over the smallest bump. I think I can 3d print a better arm.

For me, the screen glitches constantly. I think its an issue w/ the wiring connection to the actual mirror because if you touch the wires going into the back of the mirror, the screen flickers.

Finally, having all the garbage displayed on the far right of the screen is annoying. I don't need to have the time displayed on the mirror, and I really don't need "2K' in big letters either. How is there not a option to turn this off? Its like buying a TV and leaving the stickers on the screen.

I regret installing it. While the 1.0 wasn't perfect, it is much better than the 2.0. The screen is better, when it works, but that's about it.

Let me know how it looks if you go with the wire loom, I don't love the look of the wires but can live with them.
Had to do a similar mirror zip tie job.
IF you have any movement putting a small piece (a little smaller than the CT mirror) of plastic drawer liner (typically used for toolboxes, a very thin foam) should help.
Link to liner
Not visible and makes it so there is NO movement.

How is your heat on your screen? Was adjusting some things and felt a little warm 120F seems kinda hot for being inside a 70 degree garage.

(screen protector is still on until I ultra finish my install)

Did the hansshow v1 but I probably installed it about 3 times. I waited on a better camera housing and a better route to the rear tonneau aplique.

Feedback -
1. Use the factory screw and have patience - your fighting against gravity.
2. Have a friend hold the mirror while you wire up avoiding the GPS bits or you’ll have issues.
3. I got most the wobble “cheap” out of it just getting the wires / screw routed better
4. Made better video line plans with a nylon line like to clean a air rifle barrel getting up and over airbags and actually up thru the B-pillar, thru the accessory light gromment, down the roof to the back aplique for mounting.
5. organized excess wire into a area by the rear door to get it out of the way and not have to cut it.

Benefits: solid rain performance, can see the bed better and was able to use XPEL Armor to wrap the 3D Print for the camera.
