If one spent too much time on this forum I think they might never buy a Tesla. Have to say I was very nervous at delivery but decided to road trip right after. Delivery went very smooth here in Knoxville. Truck was perfect except for one tiny misalignment. Drove 400 miles over the weekend with flawless performance. Since there has been so much said about this truck I will only talk about my favorite features. Most complaints I heard were, IMO, without significant merit and were just nitpicking. Largely personal preference issues. My favorite features are;

1) Handling on this truck is amazing as is maneuverability. It's like driving well designed sedan. My F-150 seems like a dinosaur.

2) I was worried about not having CarPlay. Boy was I wrong. Tesla's driving tech is incredible and intuitive. Navigation is a breeze. When FSD arrives it will likely add a feature no other car company can match and prove invaluable. As a side note I loaded my thumb drive with High Res FLAC files and the stereo never sounded better. Easily beats my Porsche Burmester system.

3) The interior is perfect. Open, roomy and extremely comfortable.

4) Almost never have to use my breaks. The regen/accelerator works incredible smooth. I suspect break pads will last for years.

What I don't like;

1) Lack of rear view mirror is tricky and not intuitive. Tesla should have put a separate screen in as a rear view mirror. In an emergency I think my brain is not trained to look down to see who or what is behind me. This might change with time as I learn to look at main screen but for now its very awkward.

Thanks! You are right. If you did nothing but read this forum, you’d think most of the trucks are breaking down… unfortunately 1 is too many, but hopefully they figure out the issues so everyone has your experience

I agree with ya. Absolutely love the truck, best vehicle I’ve ever owned. The rear view mirror part, meh. I just removed it, better visibility and brain figured out how to look to screen when needed

I read the articles and the criticism, the benchmark for the truck industry is flawed. Living in the NYC area a small car is a challenge, my jeep wrangler was big, my Tahoe was huge, my chevy pickup would have been a headache. I find the steering of the cybertruck mind blowing. Much of the tech and approach to this truck is different, it's not something you can compare a F150, a wrangler, a chevy silverado to. They're not competitors. CT is not perfect, but it is very considerate of urban tight conditions and has plenty of software updates to make amends for any current shortcomings. I like the simple dash, not in love with the blank space under the windshield, a heads up display would have been nice. To date, i love the truck, dont understand the hate (i question where it comes from and if it might be more nefariously rooted). It rides beautifully on the low setting. I like the rough edges, it suites me personally, as well my expectations for 30x cold rolled steel is not a perfect seemless model.

*Let me add that i went to high school in Texas and worked as a ranch hand for years, this truck would do fine in the toughest conditions.

AWD, I thought long and hard about beast, but I don't need the extra power or tri-motor setup. I have a TESLA S since early 2018, keeping it, great car, nothing but tires, windshield wipers and only recently need a wiper fluid pump.

I'm a black interior guy but I will say I like the white accent. I think I prefer it to the grey option. Absolutely no glare as some suggest!

Agreed ?. I removed the rear view mirror also and it took time to adjust but you do. I didn’t realize how much visibility was lost with it even though it’s tiny.

Totally agree. I've been enjoying it for over 2 months now (I know, super lucky).

You get used to looking at the screen for the review mirror (which I took off after the first week BTW, and highly recommend). I also use my side mirrors if I need further info.

I'm to the point now where I have to remind myself to look up at the review mirror when I drive our Model S lol. Really wish they'd add an option on the S to have the same review mirror on its display!

Should also mention that I use the top middle spot for the review mirror on the screen so it's bigger than when it's on the left hand side.
