Just ordered one. Steep price, but I have been wanting a safe like this. I hope the build quality reflects the price range. (especially the fingerprint reader)

I think it's a good unit and am happy with it Overall. Like I said in my post above - not perfect - for the price would like a better knob (not cheap plastic) and a liner on inside walls to protect items inside (easy DIY fix).

Edit: I see it now has foam padding included - ok, that's an improvement. -- can us OG Customers get a foam padding kit? (I'll pay for it if it's reasonable, otherwise use what I pieced together)!

When it comes to the types of "stuff" I'll put in a device like this, I'll pay once, to get a quality product. I used to have one made by GunVault in my prius. Great product. But I had to climb into the backseat to get into it. This looks way better in function.

Yes, foam padding is now included based on feedback from OG customers. Thank you all for helping us make our products better and better. Please PM us your order ID and mailing address, and we'll send you the foam padding for free

I installed mine today. I really like it. Very easy to access while sitting in the Driver's seat.

As for installation goes, it's pretty simple to do, if you're comfortable using wrenches. Others have commented that the included T45 Wrench is difficult to use. I had no problem, because I used a box end Wrench (17mm)

to act as a cheater bar to get each screw loose (see picture). after a 1/2 turn the Wrench was fine by itself. The whole install took 40 minutes. And another 5-10 minutes to set my fingerprints.

I tried to start install today and couldn’t even begin to get the bolts off. I noticed they send a T45 wrench. The Bolts on the truck are actually TP45 (Torx Plus). I confirmed this in the service manual. The T45 was striping out, so I stopped trying. They need to send a TP45 with this kit at a minimum. Or point out you have to buy your own TP45 wrench / socket

I emailed support @BestEvMod(AOSK) to see what they say.

I didn't know there was such a thing as a Plus series. Interesting. I used the provided wrench, with no problems. So, I wonder what it really is: a T45 or a T45+?

It’s definitely a TP45. I bet if your bolts were not torqued down as much, the T45 would work, even though it’s not a precise fit. my bolts seem to be very firmly in place. I will need a correct socket and a longer arm to break it free.

Here is the difference below and picture of my seat bolt. I believe the Torx Plus is used because it works even better with impact wrenches.
