Inaugural ride with 1up hitch rack. The rear view cam is ok although really using the rear view is something you should train yourself to stop doing.

One up bike racks are THE best.
Rock on!

Does your cybertruck constantly warn you that something is behind you? Is there a bike rack mode that will turn that off? Thanks.

Unfortunately when reversing the park assist goes nuts. Beep and boop constantly. I ignore it but would be nice if it was as capable as a human. Ie look through the bike frame. I don’t see a bike rack mode either.

Ps. I figure this can’t be a new issue - model Y has supported racks and towing. I haven’t tested it on our Y yet. Anyone else ?

1Ups are the best. I’ve had a set like this for years to carry my specialized on my Jeep. Since the cybertruck bed is big enough to hold the bike, I haven’t used the 1up at all.

My bike fits flat with gate closed if I set it in diagonal in the bed, I also noticed I could put two bikes side by side standing up if I were to strap these (didn’t do that yet, but was curious to see if I’d ever need to use the 1Up amymore).

So… may I ask why you decided to get your bike on a rack when it easily fits in the bed? 1up is a great hitch rack but still brings the inconvenience of extra length, reduced back visibility and just extra time to add/remove when I’d need to bike as there’s no way I’m keeping it all the time.

My bikes will fit in the empty bed as well And for local trips I do not need the 1 Up.

However for off road camping trips the bikes will not fit with the spare tire and camping gear .

Not a new issue. I dealt with it on my Model Y and now my CT. Slightly annoying but I have learned to ignore the beeping. Bike rack mode would be fantastic.

If I were to ever get a hitch, it’d be the 1UP. I just prefer to put MTB’s in the back with front tires over the tailgate. Can be done with no camera issues. I don’t use the bed for a tire or gear when I’m going riding.

BTW, is the bike in the picture a Giant Trance X E+ Elite 2?

Have you all tried using FSD with a hitch mounted bike rack? I have noticed it hugs the left lane line significantly more and does some odd lane changes.

Reign E+3. Too heavy (50lb ? with batt) to lift up and down so I opted for bike rack.

ps: Low lift has been useful a few times I have broken a wrist or an injury on the ride that would been a pita to lift the bike high up. šŸ˜…

it effectively breaks FSD. It crosses the line on mild curves. Swerves in the lane. The training (so far) must be very dependent on the rear camera. Perhaps it thinks a person on a bike is about to ram it from behind šŸ˜…

They need to train with the camera blocked - it will be with towing an airstream or such.
