Very likely to float the cars downstream to the train depot.
I joked a while back about them driving the Cybertruck’s into the river and floating them to the train loading area, but the idea that they would have a barge or ferry service taking them there makes a lot of sense. The train depot is downriver, so they would be taking the ferry heavy downriver and light upriver. Should be fairly efficient.
Well that’s a nope. Just double checked and the railyard is not in fact near the river.
When SpaceX first started, prior to getting launch pads in Vandenberg and Florida.
They launch from a small island in Kwajalein Atoll.
They had shipped an open-bow cigar-type boat to transport workers from the
main dock to the test island. The use of this boat was short-lived for work due to the tropical rain downpours during the rainy season. Soon they contracted to the military-enclosed dual hull boat to transport personnel.
Maybe they want to relive that aspect, transport workers from a pickup point to work again, and give boat rides for customers & vendors. LOL
Just sharing some historical times I knew about boat usage that's all...
I suppose they could offer a "Jungle Cruise" type of ferry service across the river to the lake they have on the other side of the river by the "Horse ranch".
"Boat dock"? or "CYBERTRUCK launch"? I think this is to send CYBERTRUCKS autonomously down the Colorado river to Matagorda to load onto cargo ships for oversea transport. Rivers tend to flow downhill, so the vehicles could fully charge their batteries enroute using regen.
