A bit of a joke - I know the service centers do great jobs often. It's just we tend to only hear the negative stories. So I wanted to post my great experience this morning I had with the service center on Hampton Ave. in Mesa, AZ. When I took delivery. I noticed a *deep* scratch where it looked like a rigging chain beat against it. Didn't just catch your fingernail, it would abrade your skin if you rubbed it. Made an appointment before leaving the Tesla site on my delivery day. I have been stressed about it ever since. Fearing they would do a terrible job, have to order a replacement panel and I would be driving a scratched up CT for months until the panel came in. Happy to say they worked miracles IMO. I really didn't think it would be possible to polish this one out. It was deep. Took them about an hour and now you can't find it even knowing where to look. Matched the finish perfectly too!

Yeah, one of my service requests was a loose part on tailgate and a bow in my ss trim going over A-Pillar. Well, they left the bow/paint pen on the trim, didn't touch the tailgate issue, but somehow scratched up my tailgate. I got my vehicle back with 50% of the work completed, 4 days later than I was told.

I don't have a great picture of scratch, but here is the paint pen (bow).

I’m glad they did a good job for you. I’m still fighting with subpar work.
Originally delivered a disaster, scratched etc. Delivery location worked on it after I was refusing delivery and they made an absolute mess of most of the truck. Swirls. Not trained. No product.
Tesla eventually agreed to repair it, but upon them finishing, truck is completely scratched up. Severely!

Service writer said this job obtained his finished repair approval of workmanship!

it’s been 9 days since I’ve asked them to repair the damage that Tesla did to my vehicle. ( radio silence )

Obviously not happy AT ALL right now

Sorry to hear that. My truck is proof it can be done. I guess a road trip to Mesa, AZ is not an option. ;-)

I noted 4 scratches on my hood when I took delivery. At the time they said they didnt have the tools/training to address it. Your story has me afraid to trust them. Maybe they will get better in a couple years?

Looks great! Glad you had a good service visit. The Raintree service center is a joke. They refused to fix some of my issues documents on delivery day, so including some scratches that they say is normal characteristics of the stainless. I have an appointment with the service center in Tempe but I may try Mesa if I need to!

Finish looks great. Did they share the formula/technique they used to give such a uniform result?

I think there is definitely a skill required. Tesla really needs to train everyone who works on these. Shouldn't be down to luck if you get someone who knows what they are doing or not.

Not really. Service rep just said "Gabe did it - he knows what he's doing."
