I grew up driving in the Midwest and have never needed chains on any of my 4x4s, but I have always kept a pair in the car just in case the authorities required them. We are going to be doing some winter driving in the Cybertruck this year and there is a very strong chance that we will encounter āchains required, except 4-wheel drive w/snow tiresā (which I would be fine with, and much less likely āchains required for all vehiclesā.
Does anyone have experience or views (hah!) on this?
