Greetings, all! I'll preface this by saying I'm a Model Y owner in Colorado since 2021, so I'm generally very accustomed to winter charging logistics in rural areas of the Rockies (Supercharger and L2 charging, but no CCS1 experience). Cybertruck AWD owner for ~4,000 miles, and I'm headed to Mitchell, SD, for pheasant hunting this weekend.

I'll be departing tomorrow morning from Sterling, CO, with 100%, and looking to get to Mitchell via North Platte (Supercharger), Thedford, NE (Chargepoint CCS1), and Ainsworth, NE (Chargepoint CCS1). Those Chargepoint CCS1 stations would be my lifeblood for getting through the middle-of-Nebraska-charging-desert amidst below-freezing temps. I have the A2Z CCS1 to NACS adapter for Cybertruck, but have not yet had an opportunity to use it. Reviews of these stations on PlugShare/Chargepoint look good, but curious if anyone here has experience with these stations or rural Nebraska/SD winter road-tripping in general?

A possible safer option that would add at least 1-1.5 hours of driving would be to go through Grand Island (Supercharger) and Norfolk (Supercharger), but I'd love to be comfortable relying on these CCS1 stops.

I don't have any experience with the CCS1 charger out in Thedford, however ABRP gave me this route, which seems like you would only need the single CCS1 charge in Thedford and then you could get back onto Teslas network.

I've made the trip from Omaha to Colorado Springs using Superchargers in our 2020 MY LR. Not sure about the CT or CCS1 chargers. I just wanted to say the Superchargers were all good to go.

I should add that the plugshare reviews for the Thedford charger are positive for Tesla folks in that it worked to charge, however it doesn't look like you'll get the full power and probably only around 50 kW to 75 kW.

I don't have experience with the Thedford charger, but typically those CPE-250s are rock solid units. They are slow, but almost always will give a charge. Just make sure to have the Chargepoint app and a payment method setup there (the RFID system with Chargepoint is always hit or miss).

I have done the North Platte, NE to Murdo, ND stretch in a M3P (actually has less range than a CT). It was a 90%-5% run, but it was easily possible. If you're willing to charge really high, and drive close to the speed limit (my issue in that part of Nebraska)... you should be able to make it and use Thedford as a bail out. Now cutting through Ainsworth would save time, but you'd have to use the CPE250s.

Thanks for the input - mission success! Had excellent fast-charging experiences at Thedford and Ainsworth on the trip.

Hunted out of the truck for three days; wind chill was down to -24 on Saturday morning. Doing rough math, my range was somewhere around 180-200 miles which was sufficient for this hunt since we were basing out of Mitchell (Supercharger there, conveniently) and driving no more than ~120 miles/day.

It was a big hit on the hunt, and suffice to say I changed some opinions! 6,300 miles in, and I love this thing more and more with every supervised mile!
