I was one of the lucky few to get the first batch of invites to configure my Cybertruck on Dec 8th and placed my order for the cyberbeast shortly after by paying my $250 deposit. I am in a wheelchair and was hoping the cybertruck will allow me to carry my wheelchair without breaking it down (which I cannot do with my arthritic shoulder). Unfortunately none of the pickup truck modification companies I called can modify a cybertruck, so I will likely have to wait a couple years before that becomes a possibility. As I am not going to be able to drive my truck, I have decided to auction off my order for a pledge to help fund a charity that is near and dear to my heart. If interested you can find more details in this form, https://forms.gle/RNw1GQCd1NWsJ7e7A.

You are only placing a pledge, so will not have to make any donations until you receive your truck (assuming it will be possible). Of course, the charity accepts company matching, which can be included in the pledge amount. The donation will be fully tax deductible and the pledge is risk free, so hopefully a win / win for all...

All I ask is for a ride or two in the truck in return.

I certainly hope that you have gone through all the legal hoops needed to do this.

I'm not sure why you think that any of the modification companies would say that the could modify is when they haven't even seen it yet.

I am sure for the right price anything is possible, but if I factor in the $20K premium I am paying for the foundation series, I am not sure I can justify the purchase. I will be paying over $200K for being the very first conversion of one of the first cybertrucks. Additionally, even if I was able to convert it, my understanding is I need to push on both the brake and gas pedal simultaneously to launch the beast. This is not possible with currently available hand controls. There are also concerns about modifying the stainless steel panels and the 48V system is also an issue. The long and short of it is that it probably does not make much financial sense for me at this point.

I had the idea to auction off the order to raise some money for a charity that means a lot to me instead of cancelling the order, but figure I can still do the latter at anytime. To be clear, I will not be selling my order, which I hope releases me from any liability. I have seen people sell their reservations on ebay for thousands of dollars, so I assume they will have some way of transferring the reservation. I figure we can iron out the details if I find someone willing to make a reasonable pledge that makes it worth the time to figure out how to do this properly.. Worst case, I am in the same scenario I am in now.
