One reason I love teslas. Hard to steal.. but trust me, I work in a field here in Portland that sees the stolen items in great amounts in many parts of Portland, including those affected by it. Shoot, Home Depot in NE Portland won’t even bother for anyone stealing less that $900. NE/E/N Portland and downtown.. if you have items in an open truck bed, there is a high chance they won’t stay there. Just saying… not to get off topic
Yeah, but it's not specific to Portland. It's a problem anywhere. It wasn't Portland that our aluminum boat got carted off.

They don't bother because politics, which is kinda gross, if you ask me.

Chevy builds EVs like it’s a d1ck measuring contest. I submit hummer ev and this Silverado as evidence. Bigger, larger, heavier, and a pain in the ass. Alas bigger is not better. See Cera Gibson

It’s going to flop.

Ps I didn’t mean all the double entendres it just worked that way 😂

As a Tesla shareholder and CT enjoyer I am disappointed that CHEVY of all companies appears to have made a more capable vehicle by range of metrics, usability, and versatility.
No steer by wire and the Silverado looks like a regular ugly truck, but the stat sheet is better than the CT and that is disapointing.
Meh, being attached to GM dealer service departments, shitass expensive OnStar, ghetto infotainment and a dumpster of an App is enough to outweigh the positives for me. I’ll never buy another Chevy again.

Don't forget the data collecting and selling to your insurance company so they can raise your rates as well...

The RST isn't available yet, and neither is the range extended CT AWD, so if we're counting the RST as available, so then too shall we consider the CT AWD range ext., in which case the CT AWD range ext. is the longest range truck

The RST likely has the 234 kWh pack. Since they mentioned as low as 2 mi/kWh.

The Cybertruck pack is 123 kWh, plus the 50 kWh range extender is 173 kWh for, 470 miles. The efficiency would be about 2.7 mi /kWh, just under the max pack Rivian at 2.76 mi/kWh

The GM is grossly inefficient.

Right now the general public can't buy Silverado 3WT or 4WT either. Only fleets can buy.

And no one has done the range test for those work trucks. So the claim of longest range truck is just clickbait.

4WT below:
In the end, the Silverado EV was the only one to complete the route as planned, arriving in Denver with 14% remaining after driving 472 miles through the mountains and making only a single charging stop. Theoretically, the truck could have gone another 30 or 40 miles had it been run down to 0% at each charging stop.

Overall, Kyle was thoroughly impressed with the performance of the Silverado EV on the trip, saying it was the first EV he could genuinely recommend for anyone who tows long distances regularly.
Realize the 2019 Cybertruck reveal boasting of the 500 mile range really enticed a lot of people with good towing and good road tripping without towing. People were over the top saying how Tesla nailed it. Many were waiting on the Cybertruck just for that reason.

Both towing range test and without towing range test below on the 4WT (close/same size battery as RST?) Indications are: 4WT & RST 24-modules (RPO Code: ETN); 3WT 20-modules (RPO Code: ETI).

CyberTruck - 304 miles

What's the non towing range? Let me know when it's for sale and I'll humor them.

You asked about 4WT and I answered.
The non-towing is above too. You keep pivoting.
Chevrolet provided what Tesla promised in 2019 and people loved it.
Besides there is a correlation from a towing range to a non-towing range. Towing is way harder on the drivetrain and cooling system.

I want to see the range extended CT AWD test.
Me too. Some people just need to tow things.

This is definitely not true.

Tho honestly, I think Tesla should look at making their Semi mass production - clearly there's a market for big blank trucks with highway range.
