CT with truck cap ?

Is there any reason no one seems to build or offer a truck cap for the CT ?

Not for camping, no bed, no nothing, just more storage.

make a SS cap, remove the rear window and you got a camper...
It would be able to bolt right to the roof studs, have heat, and put the front seat back down and you could watch a movie.

I would assume it is due to cost of production and potentially low sales.
Under 50k CTs have been sold so far, what % of them would want a cap, not sure.
But that does not leave a ton of volume for something that would be expensive to design and produce.

All of that said, I would like to have one.

A little birdie might have told me that Space Campers might be close to production of it’s Cap. You didn’t hear it from me. A friend of a friend saw pics and it is pretty bad ass.

Interesting. But I wonder how this design deals with the Rear camera being unusable, due to the tailgate being down?

That’s the cybercamper from Cybertruckco. I just rented that this past weekend. Could have been me.

But all those made are campers. I just want storage (then again when will I have my CT ??). I have a Ford Expedition Max, and it has more storage than the CT, storage that I need. A truck cap would solve that problem.

Is there any way to modify the rear window to be removable so I can access through to the bed if the vehicle? Not sure if it would be useful but I just wanted the option.

I am also eyeing this version shell too, but am not sure how weather resistant it is being that it’s bolted together. It’s not clear what material if any is used to seal all the segments and gaps.
