The self-effacing humor always helps ^-^

The idea of giving people periodic 'tastes' of FSD, getting them to desire it more. 'Oh, I didn't like it last year. But maybe next year...'

It also gets more buy-in to have the system recording drivers' reactions. It's those shadow miles that really are Tesla's biggest advantage over others right now.

Todd the Cybertruck Guy rocks our world again! Well Done, Tesla makes more money because more people will want SOME use of what the vehicle is capable of. But with his formula, you only pay for what you use.
BTW, if you bought the subscription of up to 15,000 miles per year at $75 per month, it would take 11 years to spend $10,000. That would be 15,000 miles WITH FSD.
With 5000 miles per year it's only $25 per month. That would take 33 years to pay $10,000. ?

I'm starting to think that Todd is under-performing as a snow plow operator. He ought to get hired into Tesla to work on their consumer consciousness. Specifically on what the truck land buyers want and how to best utilize the features Tesla has to maximize their use.

They need the feature before Todd can sell it.

But yes, he kinda says he's not a numbers guy and then busts out all the numbers. All the numbers.

I opted not to add Auto Pilot or Enhanced AP when I bought my M3 in 2018 for at the time of $8k. Instead I chose the Long Range option for $9k (couldn't afford both). Today I would need to purchase AP for $3k and FSD for $10k. I would rather put the $13k towards my Cybertruck which comes with AP standard and FSD only being $7k.

The point I'm trying to make is exactly what Todd is saying. I feel that I am priced out of FSD from not purchasing it from the start. It's hard for me to justify throwing down $13k for something that my wife may not feel comfortable using. But with the free X number of miles per year to get a taste of the latest changes to FSD would allow me to dip my toe into the water and sign up for a higher tier later and allow Tesla some of that recurring revenue that that are not making from my M3 currently.

Excellent way to think outside of the box Todd!

would be all for something like this.

once FSD comes to full operability, I'll engage it so my car can drive me home from the bar ?

for daily driving I will honestly enjoy being in control for most drives.
