I am thinking to get a custom cover for my CT to protect it from weather, bird shit, people who want to see, if the windows are really bullet proof etc. Contacted a company called "CoverCompany" https://www.cover-company.com/custom-rainproof-tesla-car-cover.html. Awaiting their response. If we get enough orders together, I am sure they'll give us a better price. Any interest?

Those are awful expensive. Covers are meant to be disposable, they take the damage from the haboob, derecho, or whatever animal is peeing all over everything and you can then toss them out.

You are buying an apocalypse machine and are afraid of bird shit?

Maybe CT comes with a hologram mode with a rusted old F150 temporary fake exterior for when you park it in unfamiliar territory.

My first reaction is Why??? It's stainless steel. But I can understand keeping your brand new toy looking as clean as possible.

I'm 50/50 on wrapping it. Not for protection but just to be unique.

How about some idiots want to find out, if the glass is really bullet proof and throw rocks at it. Hell no, I rather buy a cover no matter the cost and protect my cyberbaby.

Maybe the apocalyptic birds are worthy of fear!

I don't understand this paranoia about random vandalism at all.

Do people take baseball bats to F150s to see if they are really "Built Tough"?

The best way to prevent vandalism… hand out good candy during Halloween. Your neighbors kids mark you as the cool house.
People don’t let their kids come to our house on Halloween. It’s the crazy dome at the end of a 1,000 unlit driveway. It’s the kind of place we’d dare each other to visit as kids.

Those are the kind of houses that hand out full-sized candybars!

(Which is what I do.)

Those expensive covers catch debris, pollution in the air and mark points where it contacts vehicle surface. I couldn’t shake it out of one during SoCal fireseason. Too expensive to clean and too fragile to launder. @Crissa advice works for the expensive as well as the cheap covers. Throw them out - disposable use.
