Hey Cyber pros! I’m planning on picking up my Cyberbeast in Austin and going on a trip through the Carolinas upper midwest and back to Boulder. I’ve found it difficult to find Hotels with EV charging…Hilton was a real mess.

One might expect that Hotels would market to EV travelers, but many time I gotten lots of ads from Hotels then when I call to confirm that they have EV charging the answer is often “no”! Seems they just want your reservation then tell you that EV charging is miles away.

I’ve tried the Tesla site but one has to research each charger and that’s just Tesla’s network. I would prefer to plan my trip around hotels that have EV charging.

Is there a reliable app with mad EVer’s use to find hotels with on-site charging.. I’ve seen some old (not recently updated) apps in the store. Seem like this would be useful, yes?

Are you wishing for Austin or is your delivery location actually Austin?

AFAIK, there is no "option" to pick up from Austin. Even if you happen to be there on the day you Cybertruck is made, you have to pick it up at your designated location. After all, they are the ones that have to do all the paperwork.

Wow! The number of hotels with EV charging has really grown over the last two to three years. Impressive!

I love destination charging on trips because it allows you to skip the last Supercharger stop of each day AND start each day with a full battery. Since the charging is often free with your room, starting each day with 300 miles of range can substantially reduce the Supercharging bill for a long trip.

Plugshare is definitely the best platform for this. Their app is very usable. If I'm planning I'll usually hit up my preferred search or booking site (google or booking.com or whatever), pick out a few hotels, then check them out on plugshare

Using one on the way to delivery as we speak. Plug share really makes life easy.
