Took a roadtrip from SF to SD yesterday and got two warning messages on my screen.

“Air suspension unable to raise” and “Air compressor temperature above operating…”

Service appointment is Thursday; just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

It looks like the rear suspension might be blown as the wheels are closer to the fenders on the rear than the front.

VIN #159, build date 02/24, delivery 03/24/24

The only time I've seen this is on a couple videos where folks were testing the air suspension, raising and lowering a lot in a short time. The message went away after a short rest.

In no change after letting it rest for 15-20 min, then a service appointment is the way.

Were you raising it up and down over and over before the message appeared?

Compressors generate a lot of heat, if you were going up/down a lot might do it

It was in Chill mode the entire drive. Didn’t touch anything from the suspension settings. Happened like 2 hours into a 9 hour drive. It’s still giving the error codes today. So it’s had time to “cool down” and like I said, haven’t even messed with suspension. I just start driving and that’s the warning. My guess (hope) is it’s a loose connector that just needs to be tightened.

I have had this issue a couple times on my 2016 X. It will sometimes self correct, although it once had a slow air leaks which they tracked down and replaced a hose. Annoying but easy repair

We ran into this while 20-30min in off-road mode with 4 adults in the truck and some luggage with tonneau cover closed. It went away after sitting for a couple of minutes. The service people said it was just a warning but I need to try it again. I hope the air compressor isn't that weak.

Oof I don’t like that. I plan on overlanding and off roading with over 2,000lbs payload on a regular basis. Service is replacing the right rear air spring module now so hopefully that fixes my issues. I like the idea of air suspension but not if it can’t handle regular truck stuff.

I also got the error that air compressor temperature is above the operating limit, raising suspension is temporarily unavailable. I have a Tesla service call tomorrow. I'll post an update when I get some answers.

Sorry to hear you’re having issues! They replaced the entire air module on the rear right side. Pretty quick fix and I haven’t had any issues since.

I think one of the hoses on mine popped off. Load hiss. Stick at 7.5" height.

Service manual says to do push and pull test on Voss fittings. I think they missed one in Austin.

My issue is similar and indicating that it may go away on the next drive, but after 5 tries and multiple soft resets, the problem persists.
From the Service menu the fault is more clear. See images.

I've put in a service ticket, but the earliest they can look at it is over a month away (July 31).
I'm thinking of possibly disconnecting the power to it (or the entire MV system) as shown in the service manual, but I'll wait a bit longer to hear from Tesla Service.

Yes I had this happen. Service replaced the Manifold. Upon driving back home it failed again. Return trip to the SC and two days of diagnostics, the pump itself had failed. One question I had is what if there was a bladder defect that while the bladder is stationary against the SS cylinder, no leak, but upon dynamic driving the defect would open enough to allow air to leak and thus prompt an overuse by default of the compressor to keep the air reservoir filled? Perhaps the best way to check this would be to submerge the suspension under water and cycle the heights......... one more reason to have "Boat Mode" and HD door seals!! Hopefully the new compressor will fix issue. The Tech noted the area had compressor oil around it so for sure it failed........ but Why is the critical issue. The weak link is? Bladder or other? Cheers.

What was the final verdict or fix?

I would check the lines make sure nothing popped off
Is it possible that because your change of speed allot your compressor got to hit ? Because I just noticed when going over 80 mine will drop to low mode then back to medium .(total guess) Have you tried a hard reset. ?
