Idea to consider.. build charging port on rear of cybertrailer so it can charge cybertruck without unhitching the cybertrailer. Only requires cybertruck with attached cybertrailer to backup to supercharger. ??

I suppose you could have a supercharger extension cord built into the trailer, but then you’re hauling an extra 50lbs, and added 30 feet of heater wire to the charge process. Hmmmm

Even if it's possible to have a supercharger extension, I don't think it's healthy for the cyber trailer. I think it might have a side effect on the trailer.

Supercharger protocol is proprietary. No one else can charge from Superchargers.

Except for those in the Netherlands that are open to non-Tesla EVs to charge at Superchargers. The protocol may still be propitiatory, but it has to be shared with others to allow the communication... or Superchargers are supporting some standard to allow this. Not sure which.

Fixed charging station designs are a filling station hangover. Its impact on electric charging demonstrates the brittle mentality. Technology and architecture both are ripe for disruption.

Changing only one still impacts the other which leaves wholesale land purchase as the modifier for gain of function. It looks like both disciplines will need to contribute to the situation BEV faces going forward. Good ideas move discussions into action.

Great post!

We could have a super long extension cord that retracts like a vacuum cleaner hose as we return.
