I hope, if there is a rear screen, it is an option YOU can pay for. I have a rear entertainment center in my 2010 Silverado and have used it once. My truck was built during the GM bankruptcy and, to get navigation, I had to order a package that included the rear entertainment center. Most of the time, I have dogs in an Orvis dog hammock in the back seat. They don't watch TV ...
So you don't want any controls in the back for the windows/heat/etc back there? I mean, that's a thing, I suppose.
The issue is that, as Tesla discovered improving their process with other cars, is that it would actually cost them more to offer a truck to YOU without it than to just standardize the process to what will be the most common option. So you'll be getting the rear screen included in your purchase price.
Basically everyone gets to pick their most favoritest popular feature and that is what they are buying. The rest of the truck just comes along for the ride as packaging.
