So glad no one has used their Johnson as a measuring reference. Measurements would be so over rated then
All the guys who obsess over the size of their business are on the GM fans website complaining about Hummer production (or lack of).

Is the acceleration of Cybertruck now so fast that the dimension of time disappears?

It’s funny, the truck they used for crash testing looks wired almost exactly like this.

I did my own measurements using a capture from this video and came up with these numbers. I'm quite confident the width numbers are within 1/2 inch. The length is more difficult due to the rear hatch being up and not being able to see the trailing edge of the bumper.

Model Y

Length: 4,751 mm (1,286 px) — 3.694401244 mm/px
(Not very accurate due to the rear hatch being lifted)

Width: 2,129 mm (581 px) — 3.6643717728 mm/px

Cybertruck
  1. Length (length ratio): (1,556 px) — 5,702 mm / 224.48 in
  2. Length (width ratio): (1,556 px) — 5,748 mm / 226.3 in
  3. Width (mirrors): (669 px) — 2,451 mm / 96.51 in
  4. Width (front flares): (570 px) — 2,088 mm / 82.2 in
  5. Width (rear flares): (556 px) — 2,037 mm / 80.2 in
  6. Width (body): (546 px) — 2,000 mm / 78.74 in
  7. Vault Width (top): (410 px) — 1,502 mm / 59.1 in
  8. Trailing Edge Width: (516 px) — 1,891 mm / 74.45 in

A Hah, so that explains why the Tesla Cybertruck crash video showed no crash, the Cybertruck actually hitting the wall happens in a different timeline or dimension.

Your Tonneau Cover width, and Outer Tail Gate width are depicted as the same (59.10"). Do I win a prize?

that’s where I used the millimeters per pixel ratio from the width of the model Y versus the millimeters per pixel from the length of the model Y, which is obscured by the raised rear hatch. If the drone camera‘s pixels are perfectly square, then the 226 inch length should be very close.

Ok…

I’m pretty sure this is the best way to measure the truck. I know exactly how tall my chicken is and now that I have your highly accurate AR image of the truck, we can finally nail this sucker down. The truck is just shy of 4 chickens tall and the wheelbase is 6 chickens.

As soon as my wife gets home, I’ll get some proper dimensions on how many chickens fit in the vault both open and closed.

He leftmost chicken is a reference chicken which was on my lawn when I did the AR.

Talk about trying to get all your ducks in a row to get an accurate measurement....

How did you arrive at 45" difference?
I used powerpoint... the model Y is 187" and I converted into inches in powerpoint. 45" was the result of the conversion. I know, I know, it is not accurate. But originally I was checking to compare against the ANOTHER poster (who has since said his measurements were BS) stating the length was 222". This at least proves that there is NO WAY the truck is that short. It is most likely between 226 and 232.

Honestly, the obsession with size is boring. We can see how big it is in these pictures. How big is it? Quite a bit bigger than a model Y. Truck sized. They have benchmarked the hell out of the F150, so there is no doubt it will be really close to that size. As Franz said it will comfortably carry "4, 5 or 6 people" up front, and a sheet of drywall out back. It will be a full size truck. What else matters when it comes to the size?
