id bet on this being a real photo. It lines up with the overall shape virtually perfectly.
The wheel well on this side makes no sense and is very different than the one on the other side.
Passenger side casting is way higher than driver's side casting.
Also if these are castings why is the casting machine arriving today.

Probs clearance matters. The bed will sit higher than we think, cause battery / bed trunk(if that’s still a thing)

That's alot of shims to hold the parts in place.

...and no midgate.

And no wing storage.

Welll… a lot can be built on a frame, that rear half is far from the angular finish of the external panel.. there may still be sail storage.

as for the midgate… yeah i see what you mean… more angles needed to confirm however…

I do not see the back end where the bed will be at all. Just the cab. Not even a front end. So how do we know about the wings from this photo? Is it possible that the front end and back end are separate pieces? I 'am' very interested in the rear casting shown here. I am not sure about the midgate as I can see a solid section there but am not sure if it means what it suggests given all of the other things going on in this photo. I am not sure what those jigs are holding the casting but I do not believe that they are part of the cybertruck.
I believe a midgate is still possible.

that pane of steel (or whatevermaterial it is) could be on a hinge and possible is pressed? Inas it’s where the tonneau would be sliding on tracks.

I am not ruling out midgate.

Yup... except that those weird things on the wings go way higher than the actual shape of the truck. So something is off with this concoction.

Does it look like they made the B pillar a little more vertical and the C pillar slightly taller for rear headroom (making the truck more trapezoid than triangle)?

This thing looks like a mockup frame for one of the prototypes. It's all unibody..even could be considered traditional truck frame on the back with those frame rails.
Everything from back of cab appears to be castings

That panel on the bottom would prevent a wheel. Notice the opening on the other side. Also look at the cab it is very level across the top. But for some reason a foot of it extends below passenger side cast

I think it is the angle of the photo that makes it look that way.

here’s a better look. This is the real deal

looks like the plastic wrap / tarping on the ground back behind it. Assuming they cover up the billion dollar truck body when they aren’t doing their arts and crafts.
