Looking at that truck, I'm sure it did. It's just under the rubble somewhere.

Wildfire is scary stuff. At least these people will know or not fairly quickly... For the CZU Complex fire we had entire towns that remained under evacuation orders with active fire along our homes for weeks. They held it behind our neighborhood with a hot spot visible from space for a week. They stopped it where we had pulled all the scotch broom.

This likely wasn't the only Cybertruck casualty in the LA wildfires :(

We lost our Model X in the 2018 Woolsey Fire.
Forced to live in trailers because of the Unconstitutional California Coastal Commission’s insane “environmental” policies. The improperly managed “Environmentally Sensitive Habit Areas” (ESHAs) were a root cause for the reason we lost our home and everyone else in California who have lost their homes to “Wild Fires”! These ESHAs are SuperHighways of Fuel for Arsonist, Homeless Camp Fires and Powerline Fires! @ DOGE Abolish the California Coastal Commission!

The CT could easily drove off. I love my CT too much to let it burn this way. It has HEPA filter to protect occupants. The owner didn't want it, so let the insurance covers it. It a perfect situation to get rid off you CT, for some people.
This isn’t true. People were trying to evacuate in their vehicles and the police stopped them and told them to get out and walk / run.

The family I know, they had to leave a lot of valuables behind in their vehicle.

I know this from first hand as this happened to a friend.

Please don’t assume. You have no idea what these families have lost and what they’re going through.

...And while this sounds authoritarian, you can get more people through per minute per lane of road on foot than with cars.

This is why they say walk, don't drive, when escaping a tsunami warning.

This is what PCH looked like during the 2018 Woolsey Fire when we lost our Home. They should have opened the northbound lane for southbound evacuation traffic. California has been in rapid decline since Reagan left as Governor in 1975. @DOGE Abolish the Unconstitutional California Coastal Commission! They are the major contributing factor with their improperly managed ESHAs (Environmentally Sensitive Habitat Areas) that are Superhighways of Fuel for Arsonists, Homeless Campfires and Powerline Fires. The last Prescribed Controlled Burn I saw in Malibu was in
1997.

You sure about that? Guess what we burn in burn buildings (yes, I am speaking from experience)? Couches... mattresses, old donated furnishings, trash, all the things us FFs go into on a real fire. Why? Because we play like we train.

I am guessing you have never seen a fire department train on burn building day and what goes inside of it besides just wooden pallets.

Spoken like a true know-it-all who doesn't know what she is talking about 🤣 How many wildland fires have you been on and fought @Crissa ? I'm betting "0".

https://blockstrong.com/fire-resistant

From above:

Really? Again, spoken like someone who has experienced this. Well lets have a look at what is left standing at the LA fires in the last 24 hours:

Are these brick chimneys?

and look at this... chimneys as far as the eye can see:

According to you, shouldn't these have turned to ash or have fully crumbled? Brick and cinderblock takes a LONG time exposed to high heat to begin spalling. Brick faster than cinderblock... and if the brick is still standing, imagine the cinderblock... 😂

Once again @Crissa you speak of items you have nothing that you know about, including your comments on EV battery fires in another thread which you and I had a round with.

For once, just stop pontificating on topics that you have little knowledge or experience. Chat about the things you know about.
"Wildfires can burn at temperatures ranging from about 1,472°F (800°C) for surface fires to over 2,192°F (1,200°C) under extreme conditions. In some cases, flames can even reach temperatures as high as 4,000°F, depending on the intensity of the fire.

I agree. We lost our home and Model X in the 2018 Woolsey Fire. You can see the molten aluminum of the wheels . Aluminum melting point is about 1220*F. What’s interesting is the powder coating on the exterior of the rims preserved the outer edges. The cinder blocks of our foundation could be crushed into dust with your bare hands.

Oh, yes, we should go back to subsidized college for all residents and market rate property taxes for corporations. But that's not appropriate topics for here.

And to swap lanes, they'd need to put out cones and police along the way. There needs to be room for emergency vehicles to head the other way. Doing this on short notice is difficult. Just like evacuating is difficult.

Were you here? I think not. During Post Mort City Council Meetings LA County Sheriff acknowledged they should hav done a “Reverse Flow”of at least one lane and kept one NB lane for Emergency Vehicles like they do in other states for Hurricane Evacuations!
