CT might be so at 6' to 6' 3"with the suspension setting in the showroom. Wonder what the off-road height will be?

Uh oh! That's getting close to my garage 19' 4" sheet rock to sheet metal. I use that app all the time and it's great for estimates. Let's hope it's a little off on this one.

My guess for the official would be 18 ft 9 inches, which is 225 inches total. Let's see!

How accurate is the app?
inaccurate

for example, the truck length is 223” and here it say it’s 230”

in terms of truck length, that’s a big difference

the “leaked” stats from week before were accurate (if rounded to nearest whole here and there).

also, Musk himself just told y’all it’s sub-19’

A Ford Lightning is 19'4"

So the Cybertruck might be 2 inches shorter.

guys

Over 3 months ago (on Q3 call) Musk himself said it’s sub-19’

Then, last week, the specs leak has accurate measurements.

I get that not everyone wants to believe such leaks. But they’re accurate, and if nothing else folks can now see that the leaks claimed 11k lb towing and as of this week there’s confirmation from Tesla of same.

Anyone suggesting the truck is longer than 19 feet is both disagreeing with Musk, and deciding their armchair conjecture is *better* than a credible leak that now has some further independent confirmation of credibility.

The Cybertruck is just over 223”, or 18.6’ long

How accurate is the app?
I did a quick web search and most people say it's not that accurate. That said, it all depends on how you're using it. The photos in this article were taken at a distance with everything in the frame. The measure tool works best when you get closer and move the iPhone alone the area you want to measure, like measuring rooms in a house. This is how I measured the tape. The Measure app uses AR and can fairly accurately use the focal length of the lens to measure an object. I laid a measuring tape on the floor, started the app at zero and moved my iPhone 14 Pro Max using the standard lens to the 96" mark. I tried keeping the iPhone at the same height while moving in a straight line. I didn't do a great job but it measured 96" as 97" which is reasonably close. Extrapolate that twice and measuring 16-ft would give me 16'2". When I look at the photos, the starting and ending points are not on an edge, especially measuring to the ground. The length of the CT needs to be measured from the furthest point of the front bumper to the furthest point back of the bumper. The author measured at an angle, which doesn't work. This doesn't bother me because it gives me an estimated idea of how long, tall and wide it is. Measuring a vehicle has always been a guess because of where the manufacturer, or reviewer, cared to measure it. You don't measure mirrors but you do measure bumpers. Of course the height is subject to the current height of the shocks. The only valid way to measure a vehicle is to use vertical measuring stands set up against the front and back then use a good tape measure (not all tape measures are accurate). The height is measured using a level across the highest point then measuring to the ground. Again, this is an estimated height dependent on tire inflation and shock height. Hopefully, it 8 days 6 hr and 56 minutes Tesla will post the actual, or their idea, of the dimensions.
