The Cybertruck bed hauls two full-sized racks (42U) beside each other easily. Nothing hangs over the end of the tailgate.

Edit: I made two of these trips so far while moving, which is why there are different-sized racks in one of the photos.

Ever since I saw someone’s tailgate getting wrapped warped, images like this make me feel uneasy since the cargo protrudes onto a lowered tailgate. But I’m sure I’m overthinking it especially since your cargo only goes to half of the tailgate.

put the tonneau up part way to protect the window ;)
Thats a great tip. Also one i've learned you can use the tonneau cover to pinch items into the bed that stick out over the tailgate. Obviously secure your loads but its one more pinch to hold things from moving.

Not sure how strong is the Tonneau cover's mechanism to withstand sudden brakes for heavy loads.

Well, everyone jumping on it is okay so it can probably handle more than the window

Stronger than glass?

But yeah, secure your loads for optimal performance

I had to reread your comment multiple times to make sure that I was correct in reading what it seems that you were saying.

Pickups have hauled crap for 50 years with the tailgate down. As a kid, we'd even ride short distances sitting on the tailgate.

Look at the cables that hold the tailgate level. They are heavy gauge cables.

I agree with what you said. This is the thread that prompted my message.
