Absolutely horrid
Seems on par to me... Driving at a constant high speed with little to no regen and in cold temps.. maybe 20% "loss" of range over the 320 total range.

Someone not familar with EVs i suppose might see this and be a bit confused. evs dont get max range at constant highway speeds, just as ICE vehicles dont gain range by idling downhill.

This test pretty much confirms to me that ABRP app is pretty spot on with its trip estimates. If Tesla can figure out how to get that battery up to 175kWhr without taking up bed space or adding significant weight in the next several years then the CT would be very useable for what I need it to do. Right now it is at the edge of stressing the truck for the type of work I’d be asking it to do.

It lost 22% of its presumed EPA range of 320 miles on All-Terrain tires at 70 mph and 45 degrees F. About what one would expect, no surprises here. Aero drag increases exponentially with speed.

That's still hours and hours of driving. This is why the Supercharger Network exists. Charge and go. Most people will do most all of their charging at home anyway. Fast DC charging is almost as expensive as gas.

The 320 already has the deduct for the AT tires. The Road tires are rated at 340. Rivian on AT at the 70 mph range test actually achieves it EPA range.

I am out as well. Its real world range will not allow me to practically drive from Houston to NW Arkansas (there is a 203 mile gap in SCs between Denison and Fort Smith which means an hour plus at Denison charging to 95% in the hopes of making it). I am hoping that I can just defer the purchase and not have to cancel entirely.

But 70 mph is slow, need to drive on right hand side behind the trucks , everyone will be passing me , not fun.

Nope. Not under the same conditions. That's just a lie.

Dual or tri-motor?

Climate control settings?

Number of passengers, amount of cargo?

This kind of info is needed to understand the numbers further.

About what I expected though. It's a very heavy vehicle and Tesla ALWAYS over-states range by leveraging their understanding of EPA test.

I wouldn't defer the purchase, just cancel it. No advantage to locking yourself into the pricing or terms. It will keep getting cheaper/better.

It sucks to have to keep buying gas, but it sounds like your use case would require huge amounts of Supercharging anyways, so probably not too much of a loss to just drive a 16 mpg truck, as long as your schedule and use patterns are not too busy to fit in the regular servicing and oil changes you're gonna need with all those miles.
