One of the things I like about Jeeps is that, when you see a guy driving an old Jeep, you just assume that guy likes that vintage of Jeep for some reason.

I don't assume the same thing about Corollas, even though they can last just as long.

I hope the Cybertruck works out the same way. Its Jeep-like utilitarian design is a good start.
A Corolla can last just as long as a Jeep? You're kidding, right?

Sure, if you spend as much time maintaining a Corolla as the Jeep guys spend on their rides.

Most Americans/Europeans/Japanese just buy a new Corolla when maintaining them starts to take too much time (wages).

But the car still has value, so what happens to it? Some of them end up in places like Afghanistan:

Boring mass-market cars can be really well engineered. They're just optimized for TCO and reliability instead of "excitement".

Thanks! They will become "Classic" or "Vintage", not used.
Old guys like me like and restore the old muscle cars now.
I personally drive a 1955 Mack Fire Engine daily as a tour bus over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, for example. :)
WORD!! Do you own the tour company?? I'd love to ride the fire truck tour....
