I like it overall except for the bed. Keep it stainless
I admit I am puzzled by the composite surface of the bed. Was the bed floor not part of the exoskeleton? Or does the structural pack provide the needed stability?

No, the bed floor is the inside.

Seems like alot of people are mixing up the idea of an exoskeleton with a monocoque with an egg. Having openings doesn't make it not an exoskeleton.

For my Cybertruck, I will need a ladder to get in to the vehicle
For my DeLorean, I will need a ladder to get out of my vehicle
Yep, the worst part is when you park next to a curb and literally have to step up to get out of an ultra low car.

Agreed. I think they are similar/same as the ones on the reveal prototype (I believe they were behind the Blade Runner aero covers). I might be wrong but here is a pic of the steel ball testing that shows them:

Similar. The proto were black arachnids from the S. the tires had custom cutouts for the space hubcaps. These look more standard all around.

Still kinda disappointed the bed is black plastic lined. I really loved the stainless bed with t track. Looks very limited in tie down mounting options now... and still looks shorter bed. Im thinking their advertised bed length is stretching the truth only counting the very bottom where the front slopes inward toward the cab and is at its max length for only like 3 inches which would make the advertised bed length useful for like 2 sheets of plywood. ha.
The prototype doesn't have the final bed, which is probably going to be the cast aluminum produced on the huge new Gigapresses... which are still being made at IDRA in Italy.

Agreed. Tesla designers Benchmarked the ram TRX in development which is a much much larger truck especially in width of what we are seeing here.
If smaller than an F150 it will lose credibility instantly as a viable work truck and get lumped into the Rivian Tacoma category

Making more sense of two size versions Earlier
I am not planning on having this for any work type activities. this is going to be my daily. but looking at it it kinda makes me think about like a brabus g wagon. just a massive car on the road that turns heads. kanye definitly will be driving a cybertruck

Anyone have any idea what this rail on the wall of the bed is for?

Looks more like the bed liner embossed outward toward center of bed. You can see the shape it takes on the left side better.

Nope. I'm talking about the serrated metallic rail. Looks like detents and a slit. I'll adjust my arrows...

Maybe for a tie-down system. But, I'm not familiar with it.

The slope and curve of the frunk hood will not permit a reflection into the cab with the possible exception: The sun is near the horizon and you are going uphill.

Would definitely be an upgrade from orig. Prototype if it has the new model s plaid drivers screen. I would prob prefer no yoke tho. Bed looks to be 6.5 ft long at the bed's floor but slighty tapers back a bit at the top at the cabin wall. Did Elon mention the car will recognize you as you walked up without your phone?..looks to be a camera in the b pillar.
Yes he did say it will recognize you and self present. (Facial recognition) Didn't he also mention that the camera inside will do the same thing as you stepped in it would change everything to your settings without you doing a thing.
