I tried removing the rearview mirror but could not stand the empty hexagon recessed base and put the mirror back up. I wish someone would come up with a filler for the mirror base to make it flush with the rest of the overhead console.
It’d be nice if there were power there and I could put a mount for my radar detector. I’ll remove it and see what I end up 3D printing for it. A plug to attach a parking placard or a mount for my radar detector.

I am hoping some company out there develops a rearview mirror camera system that integrates into Tesla’s oem rear camera… if someone knows of options, let me know.

Using the same mounting hardware SOMEONE should come out with a dashcam to go there seamlessly.

why do we need 2 dashcams ?
A stand alone dashcam can record 24/7 until your storage is full. On my Model S, sentry mode isn't 100% perfect. I've caught damage while parked before going through footage on my Blackvue dashcam from 6+ hours ago. AFAIK, unless if sentry triggers an event, there's only 1 hour of rolling footage saved.

Does the dashcam records the inside of the cabin? For recording passengers activity in the event of an accident? You know! Scratch that....let just put a disco ball in that empty space. Lol

My thoughts exactly.

que tal si necesitamos ver lo que está pasando en el asiento trasero, como en el caso de llevar a un bebé o alguna mascota o simplemente poderle atención a los niños en el asiento de atrás. Yo no lo quitaría. Es mi opinión personal.

My truck has a camper in the back permanently and I’ve lived without rear view mirrors (real or digital) since forever. It’s awesome. I don’t care for tailgaters because I don’t even know they’re there.
It’s a great perk of Cybertruck for me. There’s something unnerving about knowing a tailgater can see in my window… with Cybertruck they just see a vault but I can still see them with the camera. I love it.
