'Zero Tolerance' went out the door, because to achieve it, meant having to spend too much. Only lead to daily failure, and more money. Was deemed unattainable. It is now only rhetoric.
(exceptions such as Nuclear reactors or heart transplants etc)


'Back then', was a process to roll out the production numbers with the technology at hand at a minimal acceptable level without going bankrupt. Nothing whatsoever to do with fucking up, or not having the right people.

They could have spent more time to clean up the gaps easily enough
It was a decision.... A step in a continuous improvement process.
Munro didn't highlight anything they didn't already know.

No different with FSD... it still rolled out.
