I have thought about this way too much. I bet it is one of the safest places to be in any sort of bad weather conditions like those.

Except for the possibility of breaking/shattering glass, yes, very safe in a CT.
But any "shattered glass" remains stuck between the plastic plies and does not really pose much of a threat. Even shot with bullets they stay together and don't "shatter" ...as in flying glass.

I unknowingly drove through the outter limits of a tornado last year in my CT while driving through Arkansas. Of course, the wiper and headlights couldn’t provide enough cutting through the rain. But that’s to be expected.
Thankfully I didn't run into anything and nothing flew into me while driving.
I wondered why all the vehicles slowed down on the highway. And after the fact, I found out why.
I didn’t have any issues maintaining control of the truck. Not sure if it was the combination of weight and aerodynamics. Many other full size trucks (plus 2500s) weigh as much as the CT or more.
Still not smart to knowly drive into the path of a tornado, of course. But it’s a free country. Ha

Thankfully, no mechanical issues since on my 24AWD CT.

BridgeBoy69 Thanks for the clarification on the glass.
