Update a few days ago while it was not plugged in and everything is fine. I did not notice FSD being any worse. Still typical minor issues. It has become annoying beeping at me because I’m too close to the side of the road. I guess that makes me a “Lane Weaver”, or at least Mr CT thinks so!
You can turn that off.

Can you skip updates? I didn’t think you could, but maybe if you wait long enough it will restack the update sequence. I often wonder how complicated it must be for Tesla to know what software update each car in the fleet needs. I suppose it is simple when they know each car configuration and which version is intended for that configuration.

On a side note, over the years it seems a brand has similar user interfaces. If you are used to driving a Ford, most Fords will seem familiar when you first get in to drive. If you get into a GM, the controls are a little different. Right now, when I go between my CT and my Model 3, I have to re-orient myself to the differences. I like Teslas because of the user interface. I don’t like them being different. An example is in the M3, you pull the steering wheel stalk down to start FSD and you use the right wheel roller buton for voice commands. In the CT, the wheel roller button is for starting FSD and there is an icon on the steering wheel for voice commands. I get those two mixed up when switching between vehicles.

Updated SW to 33.15 and now I am unable to access the vehicle. Digital keycard and physical keycard will not unlock the door. And of course because the truck is locked, the manual jump of the powered frunk will not work either. Tow truck on its way.
Interesting, I did my update a few days ago and didn’t notice anything negative at all. Everything seems to function just fine, I hope you get yours fixed quickly.

Have those having problems checked to see if they have the latest PHONE APP installed?

I think somewhere I read that this happened with a previous pushout as well (for Model Y I think)...

Ours is working just fine (4.38.0 and 2024.33.15 v12.5.5.2).

Mine updated this morning. I drove about 40 miles with no problems except left turns are tooo quick!!! Had to intervene several times to avoid hitting other vehicles

My CT on FSD twice - before and after the update two days ago- tried to move into the first lane on a left turn where the ct is in the outer of a two lane left turn setup. Twice I had to intervene to keep the truck from hitting a car turning left to my left because my ct decided in the middle of the turn to move to the left lane.

stops too close to cars front on a strip light or stop sign. Should begin to slow down earlier as it approaches a stopped car in front and stop further back from the car in front.

last when moving from one freeway to another freeway the ct needs to start trying to move from the first lane to the far right lane to make the freeway switch. Why wait to begin that transition? Twice the car missed the transition because it began moving over way too late to find enough room to make the several lane changes. It was good I suppose that it did not jack rabbit over in an attempt to make the transition as many human drivers often will do. It gets off at the next ramp and turns around and goes back to make the transition the sfd missed.

definitely need to stay vigilant. Can’t improve unless it is used by many drivers.

Just curious how long you’ve been using FSD and or on previous Teslas?

I‘ve been noting lately that with newer owners, not being as familiar with older iterations of FSD or AP, that they are more uncertain in times of abrupt feeling movements that the AI makes when turning or stopping etc and if only let go, that the FSD AI would possibly of handled it without issue, as compared to how many interventions are actually to avoid real possible collisions etc..?

Better safe than sorry, but all the same I also notice youtube influencers that just straight up let the vehicle make huge mistakes that could otherwise have been prevented had they intervened, thereby possibly training the AI to adjust appropriately for that circumstance in the future or to push that update to the fleet.

I am in the camp that all FSD owners should be intervening when they feel the FSD is making incorrect decisions, as I am hoping these interventions go to Tesla FSD team for feedback or at minimum is training AI to properly handle the canceled situation more correctly.

One time, I allowed FSD on my ‘24 model X Plaid to take a right turn at night onto a narrower street and it appeared to be close to a curb, that otherwise normally would at the last second adjust to miss, however this time it ran the curb so hard onto the right rear wheel and at that last second that it bounced off from the sudden impact as the steering wheel suddenly jerked right instead of more to the left to avoid the curb in the first place.. I was not a happy camper. Later after thinking about it, I could only have avoided it by taking over prior to the AI turning so tightly, instead of attempting to stop it upon split second impact.

Sorry you probably got two notifications went to edit and just accidentally deleted last post.

Anyways, Your model 3 is just older design, like mine. When I test drove the Cybertruck I actually couldn't even figure out how to engage FSD haha so I was definitely lost but that’s not really a good example of different interfaces I’m sure the new model 3 is similar to CT right?

How long after the update are you seeing this? I had a few issues, but time (few hours) seems to have fixed most of them.
I decided to start an update when I was at the market the notification came up and I figured it would be done by the time i came out. When I got back in my truck it was barely at 20% it said not to attempt driving during the update and do not power off or reset. so, I had no choice but sit there and wait for the update to download it took like 45mins. must have been a bad connection or interference. but i won't do that again.

I had same problem (phone or key would open vehicle), this was first week of ownership (301 miles). I don’t remember if had anything to with a SW update. Tesla was also unable to connect to vehicle to diagnose, towed to SC. 3 weeks later, SC said water had leaked from a missing trim screw omitted from rear window. Allowed water to short out main relay PC board to short out. No problems since 10/07 pickup of truck.

Updated 3 days ago, no issues during the updating. Left turn less sharp than before but 2 consecutive wrong turn in my community neighborhood, never happened before. I didn't correct it and eventually it found the correct path out.

I couldn't resist the temptation, so I updated and prepared to call the tow truck... However, it worked perfectly.
Why do you hate me?
