I found out today that the cybertruck vault is not waterproof the hard way with some soaked clothing I had in the bed.
Long story short I ordered a 8 x 10 waterproof tarp on Amazon to keep in the bed.

I plan on using that to cover anything I have in the bed. I know the water will run off and just gather on the bottom but it’s better than nothing. Let’s see how the grooves on the bottom of the bed help channel the water.

if anyone has a simple and better idea, i’m all ears!

I know a couple people on here who have added some additional weather stripping or something to seal theirs up better. Not sure anyone has made a video or been detailed about what they did or how well it's held up. Maybe someone will drop a more helpful link here.

The manual states it’s not waterproof. Several people have posted threads on using Husky, Costco, etc storage boxes that fit perfectly in the back.

Nobody ever said it was waterproof.

My solution is 57 gallon Husky containers. Fits large items, has wheels, and is low enough to still put things on, and I believe fits under the Cybertent if that applies.

As with most pickup tonneau covers, no, it is not waterproof - it is just secured.

If you require items stored in the vault to remain dry during wet conditions, invest in some suitable totes/bins. There are several threads on this topic with various brands (I just bought four Husky weathertight 20 gallon bins myself) and Tesla has their own bins that fit perfectly.

As others have stated, bins. I just put my pack with clothes under the back seat.

We put this vinyl lattice on the floor of our small shed where we keep our patio cushions. It has worked out perfectly for several years for the occasion rainwater that creeps in and hits the floor.

I'd get the black version and cut it to fit. Or in two pieces to get the pirates bay to still open.
They (Lowe's, etc) have edges too if someone wanted that for 3 or 4 sides.

I've washed my truck and had it out in the rain and not had any water intrusion. The seal at the gate will some leak if subjected to a pressurized stream of water.
