Front grill, windscreen and sidewalls are all curved, and distort reflections accordingly. This model lacks those details, which is distracting and makes the CT look cartoonish in comparison to the background.
I haven't found any 3D models of the newer CT release candidates yet, which is likely why they're using an old one with door handles as @Crissa noted. But even for an old alpha build with door handles, it's still one of the least accurate 3D models out there.
However I think in this case it's the Thought that Counts and the overall presentation was pretty cool.
Except for one thing in that the scene repeats itself every 45 seconds. So if they just had cut the clip at that 0:45 length and just let viewers put the Replay mode on, we get the same result and they could've saved a huge amount of file size on the video.
I was hoping for some scene background changes later in the video but I scanned through and didn't see any.
I think it's a great first go at a very cool idea, which would benefit greatly with a more accurate model and additional background scenery sets, even if they still repeat. Different view angles corresponding with different background scenes might be a good variation too.
Not only are the handles still there but they aren't straight.
There's also a split poly in the lower front panel causing weird reflections.
Still awesome though.
All green lights for 12 hours. I’m guessing the CT is driving about 30-40 mph in the video. Never - not once did it stop to charge. That’s over 400 miles of battery life! Awesome!!
