Ok, how does the CT stand up to the Unimog in off-roading capability?

With rear-wheel drive for road driving and the engaging four-wheel drive for off-road, you have maximum traction in every situation. And when the going gets really tough, differential locks on both axles ensure full power transmission. They ensure you're able to keep moving forward even if only one wheel has sufficient traction. This enables the Unimog to tackle gradients of up to 100 %.

Axles with the portal design give the Unimog U 4000/U 5000 its extraordinary ground clearance. This enables it to conquer even very rough terrain and obstacles up to a height of half a metre. Reduction on the hub drive means that the full torque takes effect on the ground - for increased traction on difficult terrain.

Guarantees very high spring travel and maximum axle articulations.

The special torque tube design facilitates extreme spring travel and diagonal axle articulations of up to 30°. As the propeller shaft of the torque tube is enclosed, it is protected from dirt and damage, thereby reducing maintenance work and wear.
