So what is everybody putting on their cyber trucks as far as tint percentage? I always want as dark as possible and I’m not concerned about tickets. I’d rather have an amazing looking car. My truck right now has 5% on all the windows and nothing on the windshield. You can’t see inside the windows even if you cup your hands against the window. With the cybertruck, the windshield is so large and slanted. I wonder if you need a darker tint to let less light in. I’m considering 5% all around and 30% on the windshield. Am I insane? Again I don’t care about visibility or tickets. Since I only drive in the day.

I put 50% on front windshield and nothing on the other windows. I don’t want tickets so I think this is a good way to avoid them. Plus, the stock side windows offer excellent UV protection by themselves.

70% on windshield. 15% on front windows. Added 50% to rear windows, bed window and roof. Those windows are all factory tinted, but adding 50% got them to be equal to the new 15% as far as darkness/color so the truck looks even on all windows. I added to the front windows. I did all ceramic tint for all.

I did 5% sides and 50% windshield. I was just in my buddies 911, who has 5% sides/back with 30% windshield as you suggested. It wasn’t that bad and the look is clean.

I think if I did it again I would of gone 5% side and 30% windshield. The windshield is just huge and lets in a lot of light.

I did 5% on the 2 front doors and 20% over the rear doors give it a perfect uniform look. I own a tint shop in New Jersey and we’re extremely busy and haven’t had the chance to tint the windshield but I’m going 35% on the windshield.

Dont forget the cybertruck window in the fronts are super small making the tint seem darker.
You also have black seats AND you have a car that POLICE love to look at.
I got pulled over for tint for the first time on the freeway
15% in the fronts

I ended up changing it to 35%. It's way lighter and yes people can look in now but you can't tell that it's crazy dark.

70 windshield so you get some protection but still light
5% rears because it doesn't matter so max heat rejection
70% roof so I can see out easily but still have some heat rejection.

This is in CA

Hmmm I'd appreciate some advice on this actually. Like edc, I too live in a sunny state, Florida, Miami specifically and it's VERY hot. The sun beams relentlessly and I love it!

However, I'm more concerned about efficiency.

I never tint any window in any of my cars because I enjoy the sun. It's never been a factor in energy cost for me with my ICE vehicles. I would like my CT to run efficient, but I don't want to sacrifice too much visibility; especially at night because of the difficulty seeing.

What tint percentage do you guys recommend for each window considering my likes and needs mentioned above? Is there even a window film of sorts that blocks the heat really well without compromising visibility? I don't mind at all if people can see into my CT.

Cheers! 📐

I went with 5% sides (rear they just matched to the front) and 45% windshield. Its the perfect combo for me.

Oh man, that is extremely good looking and clean as can be! Beautiful, congrats!

I'm in FL as well, Miami, are you near enough to recommend any tint shop?

Thanks!

Detailers of Naples did a great job if you're willing to make the drive. $1,400 & around 4-5 hours.

I would consider a 70% top of the line ceramic window tint for what you are suggesting. It will reject a lot of the heat but not be very dark.

Thanks! You mean 70% all around? I'm also unsure if it's worth tinting the roof at all or with the 70%. But yea, 70% seems like the most common go-to for people wanting maximum visibility and protection. I also saw someone do a 75% for their windshield and claims it blocks inward visibility well due to the angled glass. I wonder if that's better.

Dangggg you helped me more than anyone decide. 5% side windows and 30% Windshield it is. Did you do the back rear small window and sunroof at all? Also, can you tell me the exact dimensions or the size of roll Your tint guy had to use? My tint guy is thinking his 60 inch won’t even fit and might have to order a 72 inch to do the windshield.
