What's the denomination of that 10 million? Fairy dust particles and broken dreams?

To be fair, the company that bought the DeLorean trademark is real, and have made boutique, limited-run vehicles before. So they are not running a “scam”, but their terms are clearly angled in their favor and targeted at the ultra-wealthy.

Or owners from the future who are bringing back devalued cash to spend at current exchange rates.

The ultra-wealthy only want things that are over-priced. Do you really think it costs $3,000 to make a handbag?
Wait, do we get a handbag with the DeLorean reservation? That might just convice my wife.

So a small Pontiac fiero type car that has the cybertruck triangle shape with an exoskeleton? But without the rolling over because battery weight down low..... Fun car.... Miata people would go nuts... Give it removable glass roof. And gull wing doors.

They could make a sport version of this with more street friendly tires, a lower stance, and better performance.

I think Cyberado would be a better name myself.
