Old Man Grant (Soaring Videos):
Yes, diesel and gas pickups have longer non-stop towing distance but from towing capacity ( weight & drag ), acceleration, braking/regen, $/mile standpoints, even the Dual Motor Foundation Series Cybertruck AWD can out-pull most all diesel pickups.

If need more range the first thing is slow down. #2 with Cybertruck's adjustable heights and rear camera it is fast & easy to unhook and hook trailer when pass-thru DCFC charger is not available and need to use back-in type stall.

Previous tow vehicle:
diesel 4WD pickup, 2022 GMC Sierra AT4 HD 4WD crew cab long bed
engine: 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8
The draw of saving on average $700 a month in fuel and maintenance and the fact that I’ve been enjoying driving Teslas over the past 5 years has drawn me to make this big decision to replace GMC Sierra HD (2500-/3500) DuraMax diesel pickup with a Cybertruck.

trailer: 2021 Grand Design Momentum 27-foot toy hauler RV (ball hitch)
GVWR: 11,500 lbs ( 5,216 Kg)
Cargo should not exceed 2,712 lbs

New tow vehicle: Dual Motor Foundation Series Cybertruck AWD

there's so much that this truck does better than my diesel hands down the
only two things it can't do haul a fifth wheel and haul a big camper or a fifth
wheel along distance other than that this thing will out pull this trailer on
the biggest baddest diesel that I've owned at th000 lbs of torque from diesel pickup, GMC Sierra/Duramax AT4 4WD crew cab long bed, that I had
you can see my other videos of it this this cyber truck would whip its butt all
day long and towing it slowing it down now guys also the Cyber truck shows how
much breaking is going on on your trailer my at4 never showed me that that's awesome I can see how much brakes
are being applied on my trailer versus the regen in the Cyber Tru that is so
cool so like I said the only there's only two things that I can think that this truck cannot do that my diesel
would do which is range and a fifth wheel so that's really my take on it guys if
you're going to go short distances

7000-Mile Tesla Cybertruck Ownership Review: Hauling Two Trailers Adventure
A 7,000-mile ownership review of my Tesla Cybertruck as I embark on a hauling adventure. I'll be swapping trailers at my shop, picking up an enclosed trailer weighing approximately 5000 pounds for new tires, and then returning to perform maintenance on my toy hauler. Additionally, I'll be adding 100 gallons of water weight for the trip back up the mountain with the toy hauler weighing around 10,000 pounds. Along the way, I’ll share my thoughts on the Cybertruck’s performance, handling, and overall experience. Come along for the ride and see how this electric powerhouse handles real-world challenges!

but I did want to talk just a little bit about that so I went to the GM dealer with my daughter and her Terrain GMC
Terrain and I went in there jokingly cuz I had my cyber truck parked and I said hey can I get an oil change on my cyber
truck and they laugh of course but then they started talking about their EV Hummer they had parked out front and how
it had the same range as the Cyber truck well that's with over 200 KwH battery
pack guys so if I plug my truck in at night at 900 p.m. when when I go off
peak and I can pay 6 cents a kilowatt if my truck's at 10% and I want
to charge to 90% it'll be ready about a half an hour before I leave at 6:30 in the morning
okay so it's ready but it's needed the entire night with a 48 amp charger so
let's say I'm driving the Hummer and I need go the same thing I did the day before obviously I'm using a lot more
power because the Hummer was not thought through to be an aerodynamic
vehicle so what if I can't even charge what if I can't even charge my my my
Hummer the night that I go to bed and I wake up in the morning and the Hummer's still at 65% and I got to do the same
thing I did the day before well now what I got to drive to a supercharger and Hummers don't have have
superchargers right well I guess things are changing with Tesla but if you would think about what the manufacturer has
done the manufacture did not supply a charging Network for GM GM customers so
I don't know if everyone's kind of thought about that you you could get a you know the the new GM truck the
Silverado EV with a 200 plus kilowatt battery that's going to go further it sure is but to be practical of what I do
it doesn't make any sense for me now one could argue well you only need to charge to
60% but what I'm trying to point out is like the Hummer if the Hummer gets the same range as the Cyber truck but has to
have almost double the battery pack to do it that's going to cost me twice as
much to charge it's going to take me potentially twice as long and unless GM
opens up a faster charger which would be what like a 90 some amp
charger well well most homes only come with 150 amp worth of
power so you're going to you're you're going to have to upgrade the power to your home to run one vehicle now I have
two electric vehicles so we're using almost 100 in those two alone but
I have two now right so now I've got two vehicles that are able to do what this Hummer can do but only one vehicle so
you guys are getting what I'm getting at right it's it just doesn't make sense and so I
don't think people really think about that they just think about what's the range what's the battery pack size and
that's all they care about but you don't think about all the little things in between like if I bought at this truck
with a 200 plus kilowatt battery pack how much would it weigh how much would it lower its
efficiency and so I like the fact that Tesla's allowing people to add the battery pack for those that are going to
tow a lot right I like that because then it gives
you this the it it's it keeps the utilitarian of the vehicle right it
keeps this vehicle being
utilitarian and allowing you to have it be what you want it to be so if you want
that EV range then you can buy that battery pack coming soon of course not available yet but it's just some things
