From what I can see online so far, this is a service center issue, no mobile service available. But that was for all Model3/X/Y etc, perhaps this is different on the CT

I hope it just due to extreme cold throwing off the oil quantity or pressure, not an actual loss of fluid that is causing gears to rub/wear.

I really cant fathom driving my CT 300+ miles to the service center, i really hope it goes away or somehow me and my local mechanic can service it our self.

I have an appointment Tuesday so we’ll see, this is the first week it’s really been below freezing, but when I checked today it was cleared then when I put it in drive it showed up again, and my truck is in a garage so I don’t think it’s because of the cold.

I’m thinking it’s either the oil fill plug is loose causing a lack of pressure and/or the plug fell off, or the oil pump blew, both are easy to fix as long as you have an oil fill pump, the correct oil and be able to get a replacement oil pump if it is the pump. Whenever I need Tesla parts I usually have to pick it up at a SC they won’t ship them to you, so you might be stuck making the trek either way.

It’s in Milford CT, I’m dropping it off tomorrow morning and they told me they anticipate it having to be left overnight so hopefully they will figure it out tomorrow or Wednesday…I just by luck scheduled a tire rotation and this happened a couple days before the appointment so I added it to the appointment.

This is what it’s telling me in service mode - pressure low…don’t know if your reason is any different, what is it giving you for payload values?

I just got this message this morning driving through New Mexico on my way back to NJ. So found the next Service Center on my way which was Albuquerque and they are checking it out. They included an engineering group (3 letters?). It was 19 last night so could be cold issue. The warning was gone from the log after a supercharger stop; which was odd.
July pickup 15K+ miles.

first update: found drive unit oil low so drained and re-added, test drove and no warning. Awaiting engineering.

Last update: the technician comment in the repair progress screen said he added oil and closed me out. Seems good; I’m in Ohio. LOL

Got a message from tesla, they said it was a firmware issue detecting oil below 0 celcius, and they are working on a patch.

What doesn’t make sense is we have two trucks in my household, one is in the garage and one outside, and the one with the error is kept in the garage.

perhaps the fluctuation between hot and cold cause some oil to become lodged or less than viscous enough to properly lubricate/flow

I just got the same error DIF_a251. I saw someone else say they had taken their CT to a car wash just before. I have been using a car wash now that there is salt in Ohio, but it had been days and that error happened just as I was heading home from picking up my truck from wind noise in the windows when below 20 degrees (separate issue and not resolved). Tesla now says my pump on the front motor is reporting low pressure and want to replace it. I will be without my truck for another 10 days. I am torn. I don't want to risk anything especially with a planned drive to Kentucky from Ohio, but it only popped up once and I miss my truck! Nothing drives like the CyberTruck. This is one of many trips I have made to the service center, but most were for cosmetic defects when I picked it up. I did have a nasty vibration at 55-75 and that has was solved with a new rear motor. I still would not drive anything else, but this is getting to be tough.
