Does your truck make this noise?

In December, I noticed my truck makes this banging/thumping noise when pulling into a parking space with the steering close to full lock and decelerating. It does it when turning to the left and the right.

I made a service appointment and they were able to replicate the noise on my truck but also on 4 other demo vehicles they had on the lot. So they contacted engineering who didn't offer a solution. The service department said they might need others to report the noise to get more investigation done.

Man that is a pretty gnarly sound. I did some testing in a parking lot and did not experience this.

Kinda nuts all 4 demos did it too. Everyone should go play in a parking lot real quick to test it out

Sounds like an amplified version of the creaking sound the air suspension makes when lowering, but that’s usually when sitting still. There is a sound clip attached to the “normal sounds” page of the owners manual.

That’s extremely loud and mine certainly doesn’t do that when moving at any time.

Sounds like a creaky sail boat. I agree with the others, be sure to get that checked out.

I have the loudest motors of any cybertruck ever produced. It's about time one of these noises skipped my truck. But no, I definitely don't have this noise.

Same here, no noises anywhere like that ever over 17,188 miles as of today in just under 5 months.

I had this on my CT, the noise was almost exactly the same… straight lines were fine, but turning at slow speeds were a nightmare! Anyway, Briarcliff Tesla were amazing at fixing it for me after a very short drive around the parking lot to show them. Hope this may help?

Cool, so this is where you advise they fixed it right? That is not even remotely normal and if the SC said that with no fix, then I would take it to a different SC.

They're awaiting a response from engineering. The SC said that if more people reported it (hence why I'm here) that it would likely gain more attention.
